We enjoyed the room because it overlooked the lake. The bed was comfy and the whirlpool relaxing. The big towels by the whirlpool where nice as were the chocolates on the desk. We enjoyed our 25th anniversary. more

This is our first bed & breakfast stay - thank you for such an amazing time! We loved the cottage. Getting to relax out in front of the cottage asu the sunset on a beautiful view of Green Lake! We enjoyed walking the grounds and reading the history of the Spicer Castle. Your staff is to be commended on a wonderful job! We'll be back more

Stayed there over the weekend and it was wonderful. We didn't partake of the Murder, but it was fun to see those that did. We stayed in the main house and the ""noise"" from the two dinners didn't bother us. \r \r But, if you aren't partaking and want a quieter experience, then stay in one of the outer rooms like the Carriage House or the Garden rooms. They are seperate from the main house where the dinner theater takes place. We knew ahead of time by reading the website that the dinners were held on Fri and Sat, it was still our choice to say in the main house. \r \r Allen and Mary, the owners, are superb hosts that will go out of their way to make sure your stay is a good one. Allen has so many wonderful stories about the house and the history of the area and of his family.\r \r Yes, the house is old but that is part of the charm. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food is very good. The house is just full of pictures and momentos from the family, you can just feel the history. more

This was our third stay at this beautiful old mansion on the shores of Green Lake. What ambiance and history this place has. We have stayed in the Curry room, Raymond's Cabin and now Paul's room. Each one was as fun as the next.\r \r The staff is warm and welcoming, very friendly and they provide great service. The house itself has so much to see, just full of the history of the family. \r \r Alan, who is the grandson of the original owner, is always on hand to chat and provide some intresting stories on the history and the family. He is a very charming person who always make us feel at home. If you are looking for something fun to do in the area, he will be glad to give you all the info that you need.\r \r Food has always been so good, especially breakfast. Three courses each morning. This last one started out with strawberries in heavy whipping cream. That was followed by fresh baked muffins and then by a baked french toast fll of plump blueberries and paired with some locally made sausage.\r \r The rooms are always clean and full of charm, we can't wait to go back and try out another room. more

The food was excellent and the service was very attentive and friendly. We had a great time with the murder mystery and enjoyed our stay in Williams Cabin. We will stay there again, and would recommend it to others as well. The mystery was managed very well. Our host was informative and fun, never rushed us and friendly. more

My husband took me here for our 10th anniversary. It was sweet, quiet, very clean, and quite private. The murder mystery dinner was a blast, and the breakfasts were delicious. This was my first B&B experience. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone! more
