the stylist i had was excellent. i got exactly what i wanted and my stylist was very knowledgeable.
On the other hand while my color was setting i had a chance to observe the happenings of the spa, since it was my first time to this spa and I've heard mixed feelings about it I was eager to see what everyone was talking about. Unfortunately I have to say I have never seen anything like i witnessed. First the owner acts like shes just one of the younger stylist even though she is well past her prime. I saw nothing from her that would portray any kind of business owner let alone an owner of an upscale salon. She went around to the new clients including myself and introduced herself, even right in the middle of some of the consultations that were going on which she then added her two cents, which is what she did to me and my stylist who only seemed to be embarrassed by this behavior. Then she had an employee retrieve her laptop to insist that we added the spa to our likes on Facebook all while her client was just left in her chair in the middle of a haircut. The shampoo was great the massaging chairs and the excellent scalp massage i got when i closed my eyes it was such a peaceful relaxing time but short lived once i opened my eyes again to see the giant chips in the walls and paint and the manager sitting 2 inches away from me on the employee computer calling in payroll...Very unprofessional! While i was getting my haircut pretty much everything continued the same the owner was bossing some of her clients around like they were there only to serve her and then talking across the salon to her other employees about her plans for the weekend and the new guy she was dating that week.
By the time i left i was so disgusted by everything i saw i couldn't possibly think about re-booking with my stylist even though i wasn't even given that option from the woman behind the front desk whom just seemed interested in talking gossip with the manager who was now taking inventory of the products about 10 feet away from the front desk instead of ringing me out!
my overall experience was that i had a wonderful stylist who gave me an amazing haircut and an amazing hair color, unfortunately the behavior of the owner ruined this experience for me.
