My grand daughters spent one year in classes ,and lived on campus...After the school year she found out that these courses were not accredited and did not count for her major...sh...

Duped for classes and cost of living on campas 2/20/2016

My grand daughters spent one year in classes ,and lived on campus...After the school year she found out that these courses were not accredited and did not count for her major...she lost a year that year and after signing up for the next year found that they did not have anyone accredited to teach that particular course...now she has lost all her money spent for living on campus and books and course costs...As I understand the college will not reimburse moneys spent...Such a shame to take advantage of a young struggling student as to being treated this way....... more

Good College! 4/13/2006

If you are an adult and going back to school or a kid that doesn't know what they want to do with their life, SMC is a place to check out. Their transfer programs are good and they have a excellent nursing program and offer a lot of courses and now have three long semesters instead of two long and two short. I would take a look, they are really nice!! more

Community College with Things to Offer! 4/13/2006

SMC has a lectures often come to their museum to speak on various topics. They also host a lot of the Dogwoods Fine Art festival. Their is a variety show, band concerts and dance recitals every semester. Check their website swmich.edu to see whats coming up!! more
