MICHELE and LEE ARE TEAM SCAMMERS!!! 11/28/2011

I had the same experience with Southwest Management. DON'T BOTHER, HORRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, LOW LIFES. Our house burned down and our insurance company put us in one of the Southwest Management full furnished homes. 8804 Cortile. We were still in a state of shock from our house just burning down and was so glad to have a place to stay we did not even care that there were holes in the wall in the upstairs bedroom behind the door and in several walls, cigarrette burned carpet, kneife slit in wall downstairs by fireplace (very obvious). The sinks were clogged, toilet seats worn and dirty, carpets dirty, water filter broken, air filters clogged and dirty. When we went to look at the house to accept it the manager's husband cracked jokes about our house burning down to us which was totally unprofessional to begin with. The refrigerator broke down 3 times and ruined all of our food all 3 times. Michele said she would pay for the food which was nice (we thought) but as we had to keep calling her about the fridge and other issues she began to get an attitude and finally did not call us back. She was a rea b*%ch!!! So now we are getting an attitude and dealing with the loss of our home and all of our personal things with it. We had nothing and the insurance company was very understanding and great except for the company they chose to do business with to put their insured claimed clients in. Now when we moved in to this palace in July (while our house was being rebuilt) we also had to kill scorpions and spiders constantly until November 25th when we moved out! Scorpions running around the livingroom floor. She ignored us on this as well. On the 2nd or 3rd day of our arrival in this palace we had to ask for the carpet to be cleaned because it was sooo dirty. As the lady responsible for the cleaning (Lee was her name) was there my wife showed her the kneife hole in the wall 5 feet away and the holes in the wall upstairs. When we moved out in mid Nov she claims she never saw the kneife hole and the ones upstars and her and Michele called us liars. We mentioned that the district attourney stopped by looking for thr previous tenants and had a warrant out for one of the for domestic violence. Obvious now where the kneife hole and other holes came from. They still said no one working for them ever saw any of the damage and that we could have burned down the house due to the cigarrette burns in the upstairs bedroom my son occupied. More fire jokes from lowlifes again. Naturally since my son was in that room they assume that he did all of that and that we didnt know. My sister visited us on day 3 and saw all damage and said to call but we trusted Lee and Michele and did not know they were running a scam. Now after reading these other comments we know southwest management of Las Vegas is running a scam to keep deposits. 750.00 given to them by our insurance company. Michele keeps sending texts to my wife saying we almost burned down the house, and they are going to have to pay to replace all the carpet and so on bla bla bla. So now you know...DO NOT GO NEAR THESE SCAMMERS!!!! They leave damage intentionally so they can keep your deposit!!! more

Absolute RIPOFFS 4/30/2011

They do not and will not return your deposits which you can find proof on the BBB web-site.\r I have been in the office when tenants come in to discuss why they have so many excess charges from the deposit refunds.\r They will make things up and charges you for them.\r We rented a home from them for over two years and the home came into default, when asking Lisa at SWM she denied knowing anything about it, once we produced the Documents from the bank posted to the front door she admitted.\r We were forced to move and did so.\r I had a conversation with Lisa and was advised because she could not re-rent the home to leave it in broom and dust condition. When asked if I should have the carpets cleaned and the walls painted she said NO.\r After over two years in the house, there was normal wear and tear. \r Ok to the good part, one month later we recieved a check for $554.00 dollars out of $1,700 along with a list of what we were being charged for: Broken Mirror in a bathroom (NOT), glass cleanup, dog waste (NOT) damages to walls , paint, carpet cleaning and to rehook up appliances (we never used the appliances, they were kept in the garage as they were old and nasty).\r When I called Lisa she was rude, unprofessional and condesending stating the only reson she was returning my call was because I demanded she call me.\r To sum this up, because she was not willing to work this out I have hired an attorney, filed a BBB complaint, posted SWM on Rip off report and am not going to let them get away with this. more

Good Rental Management Company 2/1/2011

We currently rent a home that is handled by Southwest Management Group. We have been renting for almost a year now and have had no problems with this company. When we contact the office (with a question, repair request, etc) they contact us back immediately and are courteous. Also, when we had to pay out of pocket for a repair they reimbursed us immediately. We were hesitant to rent from this company after reading all of these bad reviews but loved the house and don't regret going with this company. We are planning on renewing our lease for another year. more

Don't Even Bother 1/27/2011

1st Condo Rental - July 2010\r Air conditioning broken. Called to get help.\r No return phone call\r Had to rent a hotel room for the night, Condo reached 100 degrees inside.\r Ants infested in condo\r After Michele finially spayed herself with some strong chemical I still had to spray myself, the Ants inside &\r out were so bad. I was told Ants are a bad problem in July.\r \r 2nd Condo Rental - January 2011 5055 W.Hacienda\r Carpet matted down\r Vacuum did not work\r Toilet stopped up\r Shower leaked from the connection to the wall & thus no pressure from the shower head.\r 1 sink had so much hair in the drain that it would not even drain water. Just disgusting!\r The other sink the Hot & Cold water were reversed.\r Gate clicker does not work & was not advised that it would not work. I had to call to find that out.\r After my Vacuum was replaced. I did a semi-thorough vacuuming. I was told the 1 bedroom unit carpet was steamed cleaned before I rented. The crap I picked up was unbelievable. I called because after vacuuming stains then appeared on the carpet but Michele Pombo basically told me I was a liar. Lee also told me the same.\r I decided to call Alta Baker the owner. I left 3 voice messages & had the secretary leave a written message.\r That was a week & a half ago. I can see where Michele Pombo gets her etiquette from.\r STAY AWAY! AVOID! SLEEP ON THE STREET.\r The Las Vegas RATS will give you better attention than these folks.\r If you own a Condo in Bldg 15 & Michele Pombo is your agent, When your contract is up get a new agent & management group. more

AVOID - They will NOT return your call or your deposit 3/30/2010

I rented 8636 Sierra Cima Ln, Las Vegas, NV 89128 brokered by Southwest Management Group Inc with the assigned property manager Mae L. This is the worst property manager I have ever met. Once you sign the lease, they will never return your calls even if you have issues with the property. At one point, I had to pay an extra 80,000 gallons of water because they did not promptly fix the water leakage in the backyard. The property was filthy when I moved in although I had asked them to clean it. When I moved out, they took my deposit ($1,144) for simple cleaning. They hang-up on me when I requested for an explanation. In addition, when I signed the lease, they did not inform me that regular mid-size car (camry or accord) does NOT fit into the garage because of the installed custom cabinet. Do NOT do business with this company. Do your research, read reviews from others, or simply AVOID this company. Cons: No response to your inquiry once you sign the lease more

Not so great 10/6/2009

I have many complaints against this company. I rented a house from them and am glad I finally moved. When ever they told us they would do something, like reimburse an expense that we bought or they told us they were going to install security doors on the house after we were broken into - they never did either. They charge an arm and a leg and took my whole deposit after moving out - for basic repairs. They are closed around the holidays that aren't federal holidays and i had to make extra trips just to pay my rent. They also moved up the date for payments after I signed a lease with them. I wouldn't recommend them. Pros: Easy move in Cons: They don't do what they tell you they will more
