Southern Honda Powersports

I gotta admit that I was a little skeptical when I heard what Southern Honda Powersports was selling my Goldwing for but I am glad I followed through because I am very pleased. I had spoken with a few other dealers in the area and a few that weren't and got some similar prices quoted but once it came down to the bottom line, Southern saved me the most. I heard a few bad stories from some of those other dealers that my bike wouldn't be serviced or they wouldn't cover my warranty which was really a turn off but after some research I found out it was hot air. Marcus helped me the entire way and was very nice to my wife and I in person. Everything went smoothly. I'll be back to Chattanooga for my next 'wing! more

I suppose if you don't want to be bothered with the idea that a retailer wants to make a profit, you could get turned off by the after-deal offers of add-ons and extended warranty. I suppose, even, that some would call the call-backs, followup, and returned email "pushy". Mostly, though, I call Southern Honda's products and customer service awfully good values. I've been buying vehicles for nearly 40 years -- and seldom, if ever, have I gotten as much for my money as the new, old-stock motorcycle, with zero miles, I purchased in Chattanooga for under 65% of original MSRP. Chris, in sales, was both proactive and patient as I winnowed my choices and made a selection. April, in finance, was communicative, at email and telephone distance, and downright fun and personable face-to-face. If I buy another motorcycle, I'll be right back here. Heck, I might revisit just to visit! more

I was in the market for a honda goldwing, around here where i live the bikes were $26,000.00 i found a goldwing on ebay called Southern Honda Powersport. was informed that the bike in question was 18,995 for a new 2008 black goldwing with abs, premium sound, navigation, heated seats and grips. i drove from buffalo ny to Chattanooga Tennessee 650 miles away from where i live. my salesman was Chris Wilson. he was vrey professional from start to finish. i was amaze with the size of the dealership and all the goldwings they had on hand amounst other motorcycles they had. i also receive 1,500.00 in free accessories for my purchace which all was in stock, my purchase from southern honda powersports was a very enjoyable and pleasant purchase. remember i drove from Buffalo NY and do not regret one min. of it whould reccomend anyone to do business with Souther Honda Powersports. I am very pleased with the service and my purchase. requested a quote for CBR 1000RR and Chris Wilson was quick to respond. He answered all my questions and made sure the vehicle was available for us when we went to the dealership. He was with us through the entire process and made it a smooth and memorable one. We were very much concerned with the transportation part as we had to use U haul to bring it to Atlanta. Chris and the delivery person Robbie did an amazing job of securing the vehicle and we are now enjoying the motorcycle. Chris, in sales, is a stand-up guy, and April, the finance finisher, is a doll! Southern Honda has prices that'll turn your head -- and, eventually, your feet. If you're looking for a new powersports vehicle, and value your own money, there's no excuse for not at least looking in here. I bought an NOS motorcycle cruiser, with zero miles, for less than 65% of original retail. Add-ons and extended warranty were available and pitched, but I wouldn't call it a 'hard sell'. Upon first contact, I got returned email, call-backs, and follow-up. These folks wanted my business -- which makes me want to give it to them, if we can find meeting ground. At these prices, finding meeting ground was easy. When the time came to finish the deal, the bike was prepped properly, gassed up, and ready to roll. If I decide on a new Honda sometime in the future, I'll roll first toward Chattanooga. more

This was my first motorcycle purchase of any kind. I found Southern Honda's website after comparing bike prices on cycletrader.com and found them to be the most competitive. I purchased a CRF70 for my 10 year old son for Christmas back in October and was satisfied with the price and customer service I received from my salesman (Mike Vaugh). I ended up driving back to Chattanooga from metro Atlanta on December 23rd to purchase a Honda Metropolitan for my 12 year old daughter for Christmas. On this particular trip my salesman was Calvin Steele I was greeted at the door. I was offered extra items (warranties, etc) but you usually are when you purchase big ticket items (automobiles, computers, etc); however I refused them as I had a very strict budget I had to adhere to. I have basic mechanic skills and tools and can perform maintenance on my kids rides (and they will help). My kids were so excited to have their motorcycle and scooter on Christmas day. I will go back later this year to purchase one or two TRX 90 4-wheelers for Christmas 2011 OR a Christmas gift for myself (CBR600RR). One more thing I must mention....on both occassions I forgot to bring tie-down straps however they assisted me with loading and making sure my bikes were tied down to my trailer/truck. more

I called on Friday, January 28th and talked to a great salesman named Chris WIlson. He was quick to help me pick out the four wheeler I was wanting and quickly reached the right price. I drove 2 hours away and when I got there I was in and out in an hour. I'd ask for recommend Chris to anyone. more

Hats off to Mike Vaughn - Excellent customer service! After a lot of looking and price shopping - we found that this was the best pricing. On January 26, 2011 - We purchased our son a NEW 2011 Honda 450 and could not be any more pleased. Driving from Spartanburg, SC - approximately 4 1/2 to 5 hour drive Mike had everything ready when we arrived. The price was exactly as originally quoted and saved us $600 and we were in there less than one hour. Our 17 year old son is extremely happy with his bike and so are we. And guess what???? Today we received a follow up call from Mike to make sure that everything was what we expected. So....Saving $600 and EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE was well worth the drive. I purchased a Bushtec Quantum GL trailer from Southern Honda Powersports and had a great experience and the Sales Manager actually called me back before and after the purchase (without me asking) to followup on details. The trailer was ready and the installation of the hitch was professional and timely with the technician explaining the "how and why" of the installation. I have recommended this dealership to several friends who have purchased motorcycles and their feedback is very positive. One friend drove almost 400 miles to make the purchase and confided that it was well worth the effort. Good job!! more
