Dishonest....should not be in business!! 4/10/2014

I bought a reconstructed engine in March 2013 from the South Gate facility. After just one month it started making a bad noise as if something had gone loose inside the motor. The vehicle was not functioning correctly, i took it back and as i thought something was not installed correctly and thank God for my warranty because they changed the motor. In November of that same year my car started smelling like gasoline, I took it to a mechanic and told me they sold me a defected motor. I called them to explain what was going on and they told me the engine is no longer under warranty and that it might just be the fuel injectors. This company should not be in business. I don't even think they have certified mechanics. I will be pursuing legal action. more

SUBARU 1.8 TURBO ENGINE 10/26/2010

I am the one who bought the Subaru 1.8 Turbo engine from you in June 2010...it is running great.These engines are very rare to find,they are also refered to as the EA82T Subaru engine.I wondering when you will have any more,I do have some of my friends who own Subarus asking if I can get for them too.Thanks for doing business,the shipping was on time,ensuring a smooth transaction. more

Ripoff company 8/12/2010

The worst company to do business with, they took my money I paid them for a clip and they delivered a piece junk motor and charge me high price, what they wanted and not to mention that a took them 8 months to come true, wen I wend to ask for my money EFRAIN the manager acted rude, bottom line not good people to do business with, they don't deserve to be in business I will never buy anything from them bad people. more

crooked company 3/29/2010

the previous reviewers are correct. this company is dishonest and should be avoided. they misrepresented a u.s.a. junkyard transmission as a jdm ( from japan) when i purchased it. won't take it back so i'm going to file a small claims suit to see if a judge will rescind the purchase on misrepresentation. \r 4 apr. followup : soshin took back the tranny with the black fluid inside because it wasn't the one i needed. they gave me another tranny that was in way better condition. it's been installed and is working just fine. caveat emptor more

DONT TRUST THEM WITH YOUR CAR 5/7/2008

I had an engine installed at this place and 2k miles later I lost control of my vehicle and went into a ditch in San Diego. I had my car inspected and I was shown how the motor mounts were not screwed on properly and I was missing a bolt from another mount. This was the cause of my accident. I walked away with cuts and bruises but my car was totalled.I could have lost my life if it wasnt for the sparco seats that were installed in the car prior to my purchase of the car. As for my loss, I lost a 6k car . This place is still in business and continue to install engine and trannys into people's cars . more

I feel sorry for the people that have had done business with them. Bad business practices. They warranty an engine or transmission but yet on their warranty form they exclude basically the entire engine or transmission. Their mechanics are not certified and they obviously do not know how to install an engine from my experience with them. If I can help out anyone in making a decision by going to soshin, I feel much better and relieved to know I saved someone from a headache. Please , if you desire a decent engine with a reasonable warranty and do not want to deal with haveing to dispute with a company, DO NOT BUY FROM SOSHIN. more

oh my god ....I wish I would have read this before!!!! 6/14/2007

They are the worst company to ever do business with. The person who just responded to the review is the manager, Efrain. Who is such a liar. I watched him give out quotes and treat people like if they were dumb. They really screwed me over in installing an engine into my vehicle. I rather not give the details since I am most likely going to take them to small claims. I do not recommend any one to business with this company. This was the worst experience I have ever had with a business. There were several issues :I was quoted on a engine, and then when my car was already being worked on they said: oops, we dont have the motor u requested, but we can put in a cheaper one ! The one main thing they did wrong: Install the engine improperly which resulted in the engine being damaged. The events that happened with this company have led to a lot of severe problems for me. I have spend hundreds of dollars on their mistakes and my car is still not running. more

Not a good company to do business with 12/14/2005

Someone mention about this company that install used engine and transmission at a low price. I called up the company over the phone and get a quote to replace my automatic transmission with another used automatic transmission. It was a good price so I decided to take my car to have my transmission replace. I took it there and they gave me another price that was $100 higher than I was quoted over the phone. That was kinda dirty making drive all the way there then did not honor their quote price over the phone. I decided to accept the deal as I don't have the time to drive around looking for transmission shops and getting quote. I left my car there and they told me it would take a week. Normally most people can do it in a day. They later called me telling me that I need some more work and it is going to cost another $100. A week later I pick up my car and paid for the cost. I drive the car and it was kinda sluggish. I decided to check my car to see if it every was in order more
