Needed car fix and a tune-up 2/3/2012

First of all, $500 plus for a tune-up on a 2002 Ford Explorer? Dropped my car off and key in their slot box after hours. On their little form, I filled out a brief description of what I wanted done with my car. I was assuming, wrong apparently, that I would get a call the next day for them to tell me that they received my car and key ok, and that I would then have the opportunity to give them more details of what I wanted performed. However, the only call I got was 2-3 days later, saying they performed the tune up and that it will cost $500 plus. If they would have called me before any work was performed, which I thought was standard in the car repair business, they would have been told that the car repair was top priority over the tune-up regarding my budget. Though he didn't fix the car because it wouldn't make the grinding sound that I was experiencing, the tune-up wiped out my budget to get it fixed. It took me a year to save up for the car fix, but I ended up with a $500 tune-up consisting of a oil/filter change, spark plugs/wire and checking the fluids. I didn't even get that little sticker that tells me when my next oil change is due. I've had this type of tune-up many times and it has never cost me that much, even at a dealer. Bottom line, I think he's honest, but the practice of not calling the customer before any work is done isn't right especially for a costly service. more

Studs All the Way 12/8/2008

I've taken three cars to Rick, each time he knew EVERYTHING that was wrong with it and what it would take to fix it. Wondering what THAT squeek is? Rick knows! Nice group of mechanics, couldn't be happier and I almost can't wait until I get to take my car in for more ") more

Sorensen's is the best 11/19/2008

Anyone with car problems should go to Sorensen's for car repair. They are aware of the fact that majority of women are not aware about detailed car problems They will take all time needed to explain any car problem to a lady. Wow ... they have great big patience. I am a woman 5 yr car repair with Sorensen's .... not one problem. A car repair shop like this is really hard to find. more
