Not Bar-be-que 10/26/2002

Sonny's is not bar-be-que. Sad but True...it takes a lot to be real Southern, and Georgia Bar-be-que and Sonny's just doesn't have it. It's prefab and that's not cutting it. Sonny's is just for Northerns, and others who just don't know what real southern bar-be-que really is. Slow cooked, mouth watering, and finger licking. Sonny's is just imatation!! more

Sonny's barbq is not good. It is not like the good mom and pops barbq or barbq from the hood. there is not a grilled taste or the meat does not fall off the bone. The sauce is not good either! more

No- count critics!!!!! 10/25/2002

I find it hard to believe that some people can be so critical of Sonny's. I have been a Sonny's customer since the '70s and have never been dissapointed with ANY aspect of ANY location. With 140 plus locations, Sonny's must be doing something right. Sonny's is probably the most successful chain of barbeque restuarants in the country. I question the critics true motives!!!! more

Sonny's ""UN""real pit bar-b-q 10/3/2002

Sorry folks, this is not the real mccoy. Best bbq is Tommy's in Thomasville, NC. We have driven 4 hours to get the real goods! Sonny's brunswick stew is shameful. It is so sweet, it is sickening! Only ate there once and ONLY once. more
