The treatment was perfect, she really took her time to make sure o get the best results possible. Very happy with Sona and the staff

Worst

Before my first appointment all was good. Mary, who did my procedure did not explain anything to me. I had to aks questions and she actually gave me attitude about it. On the nex...

Good so far! 10/19/2011

So far, so good. I will know more after I have more treatments done. The staff treated me great and were nice. more

Professional in all ways 10/14/2011

Great ?professional staff?. I can not say enough nice things about the customer service at Sona MedSpa! more

Rebecca 2/16/2011

They r horrible!! They just make big pkg sales upfront not even knowing for sure how many treatment you will need. Someone different does your treatments each time you go. This cause GREAT inconsistency in quality of treatments and in desired outcome. They also offer free treatments to anyone who shows proof of posting positive reviews on this website and others. Very shoddy and unethical. I could go on, buy not worth my time. Lesson learned. Money wasted. Go elsewhere. They also have very poor BBB rating. Check it out. more

Sona is the best choice 2/1/2011

I did my research when looking into laser hair removal. When I finally got around to calling Sona I was so "over" the sales hype and the different lasers ans gimicks. However, when I spoke with Kerri I was happy to find someone who really knew what they were talking about and was honest and open and didn't mind me grilling her to the max with every question and then some. I was also happy when I went in to see a spa like atmosphere and friendly staff. I chose Sona and have been very happy with the results and the staff in Grapevine. I have 3 areas being treated and have completed two sessions and I am excited to see it completed. I would recommend Sona to anyone and already have to my sister who will be starting her treatments very soon. more

Several Disappointing Instances 1/28/2011

1) My fault: I forgot to call and ask SONA to call in numbing cream. I realized this the evening before the appointment. I called and left a message with Sona after hours hoping that when they got there in the morning they would hear my message and immediately call me and/or call in the prescription. I called shortly after opening time and they'd not had time to listen to messages. They said they could get it to the nurse and she would call it in WHEN she got to the office. In the end, I cancelled the appointment and was disappointed that they had not tried to work with me on this. After expressing my disappointment to them, they split the cost of the cancelled appointment 50/50. 2) I spent a very large amount of money at this place. I should be able to be "razor free" as the commercials say. While I may have been told that they average number of treatments is "five" before hair is completely gone (I don't remember), I didn't realize that if my hair wasn't gone, I would have to pay more to finish the job. I will use my razor much less, but won't be throwing it away. :-( 3) It is very painful even with numbing cream. During my last appt. I mentioned how this treatment was a lot less painful and found out that she was using "the air." It seems that using the air is harder on the nurses but makes the treatment MUCH less uncomfortable for the patient. So, ASK FOR THE AIR because it makes for a totally different experience. It should be OFFERED without question since most people have no idea it exists. 4) During one appt. the machine overheated and quit. I had to make another appointment to finish the small amount left. At the window I said I would need numbing cream, and assumed it would be at their expense. The nurse reached and got a $40 tube and sat it at the window. The receptionist was going to charge me for this! I said "no thanks!" and later got the normal prescription. In this instance, good customer service would have compelled them to give me the cream without charge- without me even asking, even if it were just a couple of samples. Very disappointing. 5) I was required to fill out the form listing the areas to be treated before EVERY appointment and required to tell them the areas over the phone when I was asking them to call in numbing cream. The computer records should contain this and this sensitive information should not have to be relayed over the phone or discussed at the Sona window in front of people EVERY appointment. Summary: Know the facts and that you may not be totally hair-free when your treatments are done. If we are all paying for the "average" number of treatments, and then I have to pay extra if I need more than the average to be totally hair-free, then if it only takes 3 treatments for you, you should get some money back. more

WOW 1/6/2011

I got a new techician this time. Mandy was fabulous. So sweet and kind. We had a great conversation about what to expect from my treatments and how often I need to come in. She explained so much to me which no one else had taken the time to do. She really explained in detail and answered all my questions. I have never been treated with as much respect as she treated me. I wasn't just another patient wanting to look beautiful. I now consider her a new friend. Just because she is there I'll keep coming back for other beauty treatments. I feel good about spending my money with her. I'm not saying the other techs are not good it's just she is exceptional. They had better keep her for a while or I'll just have to follow her wherever she goes. So if anyone wants a really great experience with your treatments at Sona in Grapevine ask for Mandy. That's right I"m singing her praises. O and I can't forget about Tess she was sweet too. I really like her as well. She made me feel welcomed and more

The worst customer service - they want your money 12/17/2010

Just had my first appointment at Sona Med Spa last week. I was stunned how impolite they are. The took me in 35 minutes late and were in a terrible hurry. The main focus was to get my money. I didn't see any "doctors" there even I was expecting but ladies and girls who didn't convince me with their knowledge on medic or human physiology. Nice location and adds. Also the phone service was great but once I passed the reception: BIG disappointment. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. more

Go Elsewhere... 12/14/2010

I would not go to Sona. The Office and Clinic Staff is very unprofessional and rude. I have had Botox at three other salons and the results were fabulous. At Sona my results were really uneven and when I returned she went on and on with excuses almost blaming me for not purchasing enough. It was actually the same that I have always purchased at other salons with excellent results. They seemed really upset with the amount I wanted to purchase and continued to tell me how much more others purchased. The women who did my injection was very unprofessional and the second time I went back jabbed me and did not even clean my face before the injection. After, I was charged full price the extra injections. Even though she had left 1/4 of my face undone from my first visit. I noticed throughout the office they are giving free facials/treatments for customers who show proof of writing a good review on-line. I'd be wary of any good reviews that you see as the person is probably working o more

No Warning! 11/19/2010

I just received a call regarding my appointment tomorrow. They informed me that I will need a numbing cream, which I appreciate, but they gave me no notice. I got the call on a Friday night at 6:30 p.m. for my appointment that is scheduled for 12:15 Saturday. I am praying that they are able to get it called in to a 24 hour pharmacy that is near my house and that I'm able to get it applied 1 hour before my appointment tomorrow. They suggested that I pick it up on the way to the appointment and apply it in the parking lot of CVS so that it wouldn't hurt when I came in.... Really in the parking lot? I have 3 areas being done! I'm so disappointed in the level of service that I expected to get from them. My first visit was great, but they require you to give them a 48 hour notice to cancel, but they can't cover their bases and let you know about the prescribed medication that is required for your appointment within 24 hours. I have a sitter lined up and it isn't like I'm going to get my daughter out on a Friday night to go pick this up. I would think twice about this company or at least ask in advance what medication is going to be required prior to the appointment, because obviously they don't disclose that within a time frame that you can get it taken care of. Make sure you also ask about the type of laser they are using. I was told by 3 different staff members that one hurt more than the other. The manager assured me that the treatments were all the same, but why would their staff tell me this. I have no clue how this works, so how would I know this type of information. Please do your research prior to using this company. I wish I had paid more attention to the reviews, but I have invested a lot of money and now I?m stuck using them for the next 5 treatments I have in my plan. more

Never shaving again! 11/11/2010

I had been to several other laser companies for consultations and they were awful! I decided to try Sona MedSpa and met with Monica. She was very kind and explained the process, what would happen during the treatments and the time it would take. After my 4th treatment I have only 10% hair left and it is very thin. 1 more treatment for me and I will be hair free. From the moment you arrive the front office is courteous, helpful and all of my appts have been on time! The technicians that did the treatment walked through each step of the process, checked to make sure I wasn't uncomfortable. I have never been burned and the pink color goes away within a couple of hours. I am just sorry I waited so long to sign up and be hair free! Thank you Monica and your staff! You are wonderful! more

Satisfied Customer.. 10/31/2010

I initially went to this clinic after hearing their commercials over and over on the radio stations I listen to. I didn't know what to expect, but I have had problems with small red bumps on my upper arms for the better half of over 5 years. After trying different treatments to get rid of the bumps (keratosis pilaris) I decided to try Laser Hair Removal. I met with Monica and felt very comfortable discussing my wants and needs with her. However, no matter how knowldgeable she was not once did I ever meet directly with the "medical doctor" that supposedly works onsite? The closest I got was Monica calling him on his cellphone to get an "opinion" on which treatment he recommended for me. She was very aggressive in her sale and gave me several discounts to receive both treatments. I suggest doing your homework by contacting other areas before going to a "consultation" here. I walked away "purchasing".... yes, paying for everything up front... not knowing if I even received a good more

Very pleased, I had my first laser treatment on my face. 10/20/2010

Everything the process was great! Can't wait for the next treatment. Everybody is nice and very helpful. My technician was great. more
