Lunch is fair 3/27/2006

This place is worth trying only on your lunch break. The lunch specials run around 5 dollars to 5.50. They have the usual Thai dishes but also some Chinese food as well. I found that the Thai dishes are not too good so I would definitely not go if you are picky on that stuff. I heard from others that they have good Thai food here but when I tried it it was not up to par. The service is nice and I found the cashier to be very helpful but other than that I do not recommend their food. more

Excellent Food 8/31/2005

My family has been eating at Sompong's for years and the food is just as good now as it was then. They provide a great Thai menu and also a few more popular chinese dishes so there is something for everyone. I highly recommend the Nua Pad Pik, it's a spicy dish but in my opinion it is one of the best dishes that they serve. more

good Thai food 8/21/2005

This is my favorite Thai restaurant in San Antonio. I usually eat there for lunch, but their dinner menu is very reasonably priced also. Lunch includes soup of the day and 2 spring rolls or 1 egg roll. I would recommend the spring rolls. My favorite soup is their chicken rice soup, but their hot and sour soup is also very good. I remember one time I had a cold and didn’t have much of an appetite. I had some of their chicken rice soup and I felt a lot better afterward. I usually go for their Thai menu rather than the Chinese menu. For Chinese food, other places in town are better. Two of the dishes I enjoy the most are the Pad Thai and the Curry Chicken. more
