sorry to say that my experience wasn't so great. i found a hair on my bread, and when i complained, the server took the bread away and just brought more. No apology, or anything. Also the manager/ owner (?) appeared to be drinking ALOT....and he was really loud and obnoxious. If this place were run in a more professional manner, maybe it could move out of its tacky strip mall location, and deserve charging such high prices . more

I was at The Social last year with friends who had invited me to help celebrate the establishment's 5-year anniversary. There seemed to be a decent vibe and the food was tasty enough. However, what ensued as the night progressed was something I could not have foreseen. My group of friends and I were enjoying time on the patio but during the course of an hour, we proceeded to watch the owner get totally inebriated and nasty. He became more vocal and aggressive in his behavior and it ultimately ended with him deciding to smash a well-drink glass onto the concrete, spewing glass everywhere and drenching my expensive, white blouse with cranberry juice and vodka. I was mortified and when I got up to shake off the drink from my arms and face and asked him what the hell he was thinking, he proceeded to try and grab me (3 times) and eject ME from the place. Two of his own staff members had to pull him back because he had become so belligerent and ugly within the space of 2 minutes. I was mortified and frightened. My friends and I exited as soon as possible. btw - I was the designated driver that evening and was completely sober throught the night. I will never step foot inside this establishment again. There's enough random violence in this town - I don't need to knowingly walk into its path by visiting The Social and its unhinged and volatile owner. more

Use to frequent this restaurant but will never return. Owner gets drunk and rude, lets customers drive home drunk, have personally seen owner serve alcohol up to 3am, owner served alcohol to a minor and owner was rude to one of my girl friends and I thought he was going to attack her and that was after he spilled a drink on her. I had to get between my GIRL friend and the owner because I thought he was going to attack her. more

Cracks me up that after scanning online through restaurants hoping to find this great restaurant but forgetting the name, I finally find it listed with 4 stars instead of 5! Very misleading. Easily the nicest place not only in the area, but it would be ANYWHERE! We visited 2 years ago to go on rides and visit relatives, but our favorite memory is discovering Social on Father's Day! We tried to talk them into opening in Scottsdale so we could frequent the place. Impeccable service, classy, friendly, absolutely delicious food and snazzy bar. True, not for kids--another plus! We're planning a visit to CA from AZ built around a return to Social and can't wait! more

The Social is on the more expensive side, however it is worth the money. The owner is very friendly. The atmosphere brings you back to the art deco era of the 1940's. There are two drink lists - one for wine and one for martinis. The menu is limited, so picky eaters beware. However, since the menu is small, the entrees have been perfected. You will not leave disappointed. more

I rarely patronize this establishment because they are pricey. However, the food is tasty and the beverage selection is above average. It is hidden from the street, so you almost have to stumble upon it or have a friend bring you. more

This is a fun place. The food is excellent. The martini's are fantastic. It has an upbeat atmosphere. It's a bit pricey, but worth it. It has nice ambiance. more

The Social is like dining at a very up scale restaurant. The service is amazing, the food is out of this world, but it is a little pricey, so leave the kids at home. This is a great adult restaurant. The bar area is great as well. more

This is a really nice place in an unlikely location. Hidden behind KFC on Lyons Avenue. It serves Italian food which is my favorite. Can't go wrong with the pasta and good desserts. Friendly and attentive staff make your visit wonderful. more

When my mom called and said she won a $100 gift certificate at "The Social" I could not remember ever seeing it. Well we all went and the food was great. The dishes we had were Italian and they were all very tasty. I would highly recommend "The Social". The Social is tucked up behind KFC on Lyons don't ignore it more

I'm not sure what the review was talking about below. It must have been a fluke! I ate there for the first time a few months ago and have come back many times since then. I'm hooked! First off, everything I have tried on the menu has been so delicious! I haven't been disappointed! I thought the filet was amazing, and all of there seafood is perfect! I have had 2 different servers everytime I go there, (a guy and the "head" female waitress, and they are so professional and friendly! It seems like most of the people in there are regulars, The owners seem to know everyone that comes in. The location is kinda wierd, it is in a shopping center, but it's like a hidden gem that is a total local hangout! It is also by far the BEST food in all Santa Clarita Valley, and let me tell you, I've eaten at them all! It seens like a good ideas to make reservations on the weekends, but during the week it seems pretty mellow and anyone can just walk in. I think it is a hidden secret that's worth checking out! Pros: Service, Food, Ambience, Over 80 martinis! Cons: Maybe location, but that's what makes it special too more

Yes, the restaurant is in the middle of a shopping center, the menu only offers one "good" steak which is a filet and for $31, you should at least get a 10 oz steak, this is more like 7 oz. I was first served a glass of wine that was actually hot and had to go to the bar to ask for another, as the server didn't come back right away. At the end of the meal we waited at least 15 minutes and finally the server came back when I put the credit cards down and then we waited another 10 minutes for the check. We were never asked if we wanted dessert. We actually did and when we informed the person, whom appeared to be in charge, he said he would "research" the situation and that it was strange since the guy waiting on us was his stellar server. Not once were we offered dessert or anything. I called later and was told that he wanted to offer us dessert but since we wanted to go he didn't bother. I never remember insisting that and he should have tried. He, Patrick, to be exact informed me he was the owner, which I'm still not sure and that he has had great write ups and comments but he also likes to hear the bad things. He offered to send a $25 gift cert. to us but since we live 40 miles away we probably will never use it. He failed big time! He should have offered us dessert. It was a special occaision and he ruined it. I have a very hard time believing he has had great write ups and comments, and if so, these people do not have any standards at all. He also informed me that he has waited on Trump and some presidents. Even more reason for this to have never happened. Or maybe if we were related to Trump or some presidents we would have been treated better. My suggestion, go to outback for a steak. At least there is consistency! Pros: not sure Cons: not enough food and service for the price. Owner doesn't care! more
