I am the owner of Smooth Solutions who was mentioned in the post. This was a made up review by a competitor of ours who made false claims on many different sites. Basically the claims are that we have untrained staff, caused a reaction and that I filed a claim against the State to prevent a requirement for training.
1. Everyone who does laser hair removal will cause a reaction. No reaction means no results. Sometimes you cause a little more of a reaction and the skin is injured. Anyone who tells you that they never cause a reaction is either lying to you or have not done much laser hair removal.
2. We have a very long training process for our staff. It has always been the longest training program by anyone in the State of Texas. Noone lasers a client until they are fully trained.
3. We take our clients safety seriously. We have monthly CQI (continuous quality improvement) meetings to go over reactions that occur, why they occur, and what we can do to improve. These meetings are attended by the clinical staff and all managers.I know of no other Laser hair removal company that does anything similar.
4. We have a tremendous experience with reactions. The more serious the reaction the more involved I get. We ignore no client. We try to do the right thing by our clients, but we sometimes make mistakes and have a program to reach out to those clients. If this person was a real client she never contacted us.
5. The statement about the suit against the State is a lie and defamation. I led a 9 year campaign to pass §289.302 which is a law that requires all laser hair removal technicians to be trained and certified by the State of Texas Health Department. Everyone one of my technicians are certified by the State. We are the only laser hair removal facility that has a State certified training program. I am proud of the effort we do to train our staff. My staff would be happy to tell you about our training program, its history, and what we do.
Thank you
