Smoky Mountain Escapes 2/3/2011

Both my wife's family and my family like the cabins that Ann and Bill rent. Every other year we rent a couple of their larger cabins for family reunions. We are retired, so whenever we are in the Smoky Mnt area on a road trip, we like to rent the smaller cabins to relax for a couple of days. The cabins are great to just hang around and unwind, or for the more active the cabins are only a half hour from Gatlinburg (the national park, attractions, and restaurants - check out The Park Grill), Pigeon Forge (Dollywood and shopping), and Sevierville. We have been very pleased with the cabins and service.\r more

Smoky Mountain Escapes - Enchanted Evening 2/1/2011

We have been coming to the Smoky Mountains several times a year for well over 10 years. Each time we have rented cabins through Smoky Mountain Escapes. Lately we have stayed at either Enchanted Evening or Happily Ever After. The cabins are decorated with a fairey theme. I am extremely picky with cabins being clean and I do not trust any other rental company. I know the cabins will be clean and sanitized. \r Both my husband and I have very demanding jobs and we need this ecaped to recharge.. Sitting on the porch in the morning and watching the sun rise or just listening to the birds is so relaxing. At night sitting in the hottubs and watching the sun set is so worth the 10 hour drive here. \r Smoky Mountain Escapes keep up the great job. more

Beautiful Property, TERRIBLE Service 3/8/2009

I must say our cabin was absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed it very much. However, we were very disappointed with the hot tub. It was green from not being cleaned and we were not happy. We called housekeeping and they told us it was due to the well water used to fill it - ?heavy metals and minerals that have settled? they said. I am a pharmacist and my fiance (who was with me) has a dual-degree in chemistry and biology and is in the process of getting a degree in environmental sciences... We know the difference in ugly well water and pond water. This was algae. The hot tub had obviously not been cleaned before we arrived and had apparently not been cleaned in some time. When housekeeping refused to come look at it, we emptied it, used some disinfecting wipes that I had in my car, and cleaned it. We the refilled it. \r \r After refilling the tub, it went into sleep mode ? apparently we accidentally pressed the jet and clean button together. We again called housekeeping and asked them what we needed to do to get it to turn on. They said it was too much trouble to tell us how to do it over the phone but they would send someone out Sunday to fix it. \r \r We were thoroughly disappointed with the service that we received. I have stayed in many cabins in the Smokies and this was by far our worst experience. It was also the most expensive cabin in which I have stayed. If the hot tub is not going to be serviced and maintained appropriately, you should make note of this on your website. \r \r Please know that we will never use your company to rent a cabin from again. Additionally, when we recommend somewhere to stay in the area, we will be recommending your competition and advising our friends and colleagues to avoid your accommodations. Pros: Beautiful Cons: Nasty Hot Tub, Many Wasps and ladybugs more
