Dr. Smith graduated from Life Chiropractic College in 1989 and moved back home to Michigan to practice with one of his Chiropractic Mentors. After 2 years he moved to Colorado and started his own practice in the Fountain Valley area.Dr. Smith has been active in the Chiropractic community serving for a stint on the El Paso County Chiropractic Association and belonging to the Colorado Chiropractic Association. He has attended multiple seminars over the years and was certified in activator technique, Chiropractic Biophysics, and extremity adjusting techniques. He is currently involved with the Neuropathy Centers of America working with patients suffering from neuropathy of the extremities.Facts to Consider About Dr. Smith & Smith Chiropractic:Dr. Smith practices using a wide range of techniques including activator, Thompson Drop, Diversified, Chiropractic Biophysics, and Sacral Occipital Techniques.In the past 20 years Dr. Smith has had over 4,200 new patients enter the office and has performed over 170,000 adjustments.Dr. Smith has also been very active in the Fountain Valley community, serving as a Boy Scout leader for over 10 years, coaching multiple teams of football, baseball, soccer, and spent time with his kids in Kempo Karate. He is also very active in his church, serving a mission for 2 years in the San Francisco Bay area with the Laotian Refugees, and currently helping with the youth groups. Terry and his wife Kelly are very active in the outdoors with camping, hiking, bike riding, snow and water skiing, running ( 2008 marathon and multiple half marathons), weight lifting, and their favorite golfing.He has been married to his beautiful wife for 26 years and has 3 children, the oldest now attending Chiropractic College.Dr. Smith believes in the bodys natural inborn ability (innate) to heal itself without the use of drugs or surgery. Many times we become sick, have illnesses and disease, due to nerve system interference not allowing full expression of mental impulses to cells and tissues. When the body cannot make healthy cells it becomes sick and diseased. Nutrition, Exercise, and Positive mental imaging is critical for proper health in the body. Because of this belief Dr. Smith teaches classes on how to move well and get adequate amounts of exercise, eating a with a paleo lifestyle (what would a caveman eat?), and thinking well.The mission of Smith Chiropractic is to increase overall health of the human body by reducing nerve interference, increasing motion, and aligning the spine so that the body has its innate ability to heal itself without the use of drugs and surgery when at all possible.
