Skylar Ackerman, PA-C grew up in Tallahassee, FL. She played collegiate volleyball at Auburn University in Montgomery where she obtained her bachelor's degree in Health Studies. She then stayed in Montgomery, AL to pursue her Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Faulkner University.
After graduating from PA school, Skylar moved to Acworth. She began her career working in the field of plastic surgery where she developed an expertise in the use of fillers and neurotoxins such as Botox. She now practices general dermatology and cosmetic dermatology.
She is an active member of both the Georgia Dermatology Physician Assistants and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
In her free time, Skylar enjoys being with her husband, dog, and 2 cats. She also loves playing volleyball, going to the beach, drawing and painting, and attending sporting events (War Eagle! & Go Noles!).
