Having Fun...The Texas Way 7/5/2006

Six Flags Over Texas at Arlington is one of the greatest places to go. There is something there for everyone, even little kids. They added 10 new rides this year and even a little water park. Not all the rides are really high or go upside down so it's great for those who don't like that stuff. The prices there aren't too bad either. You can get a bacon burger meal for around $6.00. I know it seems like a lot to some but really you get a good deal of food for that price. The little kids area has some good stuff as well. That way they get to have some fun while there. I think everyone should go to Six Flags at least once in their life to see how it is. I know I'm afraid of heights but I still find something I love about this place. more

Six Flags over Texas 6/15/2006

I went here a few years ago with my sister and I had a blast. We weren't able to ride too many rides because we had her kids with us, so either the guys stayed down while the girls rode or the guys rode while we stayed with the kids. We were able to get on a few that were safe for the whole family so we got our pictures taken on that one. Its expensive to get in but if you have no kids you will have a blast. I plan on going back this summer if we can find the time. Everything is expensive inside the park but I think that its well worth it with all the fun that you will have. I never even realized how much we spent there. Make sure you get there as soon as the park opens so that you can get a full day in cause sometimes the lines are super long. more

I can't believe they ran out of ketchup and Turkey legs 3/20/2006

On my most recent visit ( I purchased a season pass so this is the most recent visit of many yet to come) I took my 7 y/o daughter on a thursday. Parking is very costly, but trust me pay the extra $5 (for a total of $20) and pay for perfered parking, when your dead tired you'll be happy you payed the extra bucks. Anyway we arrived at 10 right on the dot and the park was just opening, there was a crowd but the line to purchase tickes and then get in went quickly. This is a fun place, now that there are more rides for the kids. Still a major park for rollercoasters but now they include the little ones. There were buch of rides for the little one, bumper cars, mini roller coasters and the sort. Many characters around to take pictures with a stores with reasonably priced items. But the food is so expensive and tasteless. However there is the funnel cake and the turkey legs are good and could you believe by the time I wanted one, they were sold out. more

Family Fun 10/31/2005

Six Flags over Texas is worth the money. They have some of the best rides in the country and it is a day of fun for all ages. They have Looney Tunes Land for little kids and Batman and Shockwave for the bigs kids. They have games and many things you can play to win prizes. They have different lands like Texas and Paris that are themed. Check out Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park for fun durning the holidays! more

Love the Original 9/28/2005

I had the fortunate opportunity to experience the original Six Flags. They have some great rides here. I especially liked the Batman ride. The negatives are the shear size of the park - you may become very tired just walking around, and in the Texas heat! A couple of the coasters may hurt your neck. I recommend bringing some Advil or Tylenol along with you. more

Big Fun Texas Style! 9/12/2005

This is one of my all time favorite Amusement Parks in the Country!! It's also the Original Six Flags Theme Park. Although most of the original rides are long gone, Six Flags Over Texas is Packed Full of the most exciting and newest Thrill rides around. In the past Six Flags has forgotten the Family Aspect of the park and has really geared itself toward the thrill seeker with the biggest and newest rides around. This year Six Flags has undergone a "revamp" and has added many new Exciting and Well Done Shows to their line up. So take the time to escape the heat and cool off and enjoy one of the new shows. The Chinese Acrobats are really quite good! All in All if you are in town or haven't been in awhile this is a MUST for you to visit. more

Great Amusement Park 8/25/2005

Six Flags is a great amusement park and has a lot to offer to those who love amusement parks! It is getting more and more expensive to go but if you live in the area, the season pass makes it a great great value (especially the family packs!) There are great areas for kids to adventure and ride rides and rides for the adults too! The park is layed out well and you can just flow from one area to the next! Don't forget Holiday in the Park- most of the rides are open and the park is decorated for christmas! more

Fun outing 8/5/2005

We've been season pass-holders for several years. This is definitely not the best amusement park in the world, but it is the best one in North Texas. There are lots of fun rides, geared mostly to those who enjoy roller coasters. They do have entertaining shows that get you out of the Texas heat for a little while. My family especially enjoys going to Holiday in the Park during the Christmas season. Even though some of the rides aren't open, there are still enough open to have a good time and by then the weather is much more tolerable. more

Superman makes my heart beat again! 8/4/2005

I love most of the rides esp.: Texas Giant, a wooden roller coaster Titan, huge and long roller coaster Superman, a free falling ride; very good view on top and a sense of fear at the top except Mr. Freeze, takes a long time to queue but takes only 10s to finish the ride Weight and age guessing game are my favorites 'coz my body and face can cheat! Free tickets days from some companies are extremely crowded. I nearly parked at the most remote end of the parking lot. more

Six Flags 7/31/2005

This was one of the nicest Six Flags I had been to. I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the park and the variety of rides the offer. There is something for everyone there from thrill rides to rides for people like me who really don't like to leave the ground. Food is kind of expensive inside, so I recommend eating before you go to the park. Admission is comparable to other theme parks. I actually got a rain check the day I went cause it started thundering. The ticket was good for any day I wanted to redeem it as long as it was with in the same season. more

Fun for the Whole Family! 7/20/2005

This amusement park is by far the best six flags theme park. I wouldn't recommend a one day pass to go ahead and spend the extra money and by the season pass even if you don't live in the area because after you go twice its paid for. You can spend the whole day out their and feel like a kid again with all the shows, food, rides, and games. more

entertainment 7/15/2005

This is the place for you if you love the amusment type rides and are adventureous enough to take the plunge. The shows are great entertainment when you want to get out of the sun and relax for a bit. Holiday in the park and fright fest is 2 special functions they have each year that are worth attending. more

So much to do! 6/19/2005

Where do i begin. There is so much to do here. The lines are long but generally move pretty fast. The food is expensive sp make sure you have plenty of money. The roller coasters are fast! Really fast! You will have fun. I do. more

Fun, but it can't compare to a Disney park 6/17/2005

I was terribly disappointed when I first went to Six Flags since all I had ever been to was Disney parks. I thought it was sleazy and dirty and attracted some pretty rough characters. I think it is a lot more fun for the very little ones who find everything magic than for the older, more sophisticated kids. more

great rollercoasters 6/15/2005

I know, most amusement parks are just used to market sweets and cartoon characters, and this one has its share of that, but the big rollercoasters make up for it. Even adults can have fun riding the Titan and the Texas Giant. Great fun. Plus, there are always coupons and specials going on if you look. more
