Santa Ana Federal Court Judge Albert denies and Disgorges fees from the Law Office of Shulman, Bastian & Hodges. The Judge cited he wanted to send a clear message to the public and legal community for work billed that had no value for the BK reorganization. The consensus from the US Trustee, Trustee and Judge Albert concluded that SHB had fundamentally failed the estate. The Fees disallowed by Judge Albert was excessive of $216,000. What was most appalling as a client was the discovery that SBH placed its own interest ahead of its client to do the right things and own its mistakes. For months they had kept me from finding that their incompetence and potential Malpractice, and major violations with the court were the catalyst for losing DIP status. It's incredible to think that Len Shulman and Mark Bradshaw were perfectly fine with the quality of work that nearly cost me over $3,000,000 in lifetime of savings and sat silently while the court Appointed Trustee tried to quickly liquidate my properties. I'm grateful that Judge Albert realized that ethics and the rules are more important than the reputation a Law firm and that evidence is the corner stone of our legal system in America.\r

I am happy to report that the Malpractice case is moving forward and that the State Bar is investigating Len Shulman, Mark Bradshaw and the firm. Recently evidence was discovered that Len Shulman and Mark Bradshaw lied to Judge Albert. Formal charges appear to be eminent.
