Tried my best and scored higher 8/16/2015

The class was important to my higher score. My determination and persistence were important too, but the class was a big factor and is highly recommended. I learned strategy, reviews of content I had forgotten, how to structure my time and studying, what to study, what to exclude, how to keep my motivation up, I tried my best, and how to walk in and take the test. It was great to have an instructor who had been through it all before. My instructor just received his PhD and he was a great teacher. more

GRE Prep Class from Sherwood 8/14/2015

Up in the air, didn't know what I wanted to do after college so I've decided to go to grad school. I've been told many times that my college degree isn't worth much, so its off to grad school I go. Researched a number of companies and thought that this one was the best for my schedule and budget, also because it was a real class. Found that it was fantastic, helped me with my math especially, and helped me work toward a better score. This is a class that helps you get a better score but you have to put the work in too. I like school and studying so any time I can learn something new that's great. My particular instructor was funny and intelligent. more

Sherwood Test Prep Reviews 8/9/2015

Personally needed help both in math and verbal. I am not awful at standardized tests, but am ok, just average, but with my lackluster grades needed a better than average test score. Sherwood Test Prep offered a GRE Prep class in my area and I signed up a week before the class. My motivation was high, and I worked very hard, and did pretty well on the test. I am applying this fall and should have a better application than before studying for the GRE. Much is riding on the test and I thought buying a course to help me prepare was a wise choice. more

I recommend the Course! 7/28/2015

My confidence was improved, my ability on the test improved, and I increased my score. Much had to do with the course, and much had to do with me and drive to put in the hours to do all of the assignments. I wasn't one who nodded off in class and said "I can't do it." I had a positive attitude and a high drive to improve. My confidence after the course was high and I did great on the exam. I recommend their classes! more

I wanted an in-person class 7/25/2015

I like having real classes. But college keeps pushing online classes on us to cut costs, and for some just to skate by. This is not what you need when you take a test prep course. I couldn't understand how I could benefit from an online course, why would you do that with test prep? So I took their course, had it with a group of students, and worked through section by section, with strategy and reviews. Getting to ask the instructor questions in real life is important, but what was best is just having someone there with you who had been through the test before and could show you how to look at it. I thought the cost was reasonable as well, it worked out great. more

Was part of my plan for Grad School 7/20/2015

I started with the books, I'm kinda old school and went to the Barnes and Noble. Then went online and bought a couple of GRE books from Amazon. It just didn't seem like enough help or I wasn't getting it with the books, so made a class part of my plan to get into grad school. My grades are not the best, but I know I can have a better chance if do well on the GRE. I thought this course, its the only one I took, helped way more than the books, and it wasn't that expensive compared to other classes that I researched. What matters most is that I improved my score, I did better. I don't know if it will be enough to get into grad school, but it improved this part of my application more

Started my class early before my test ... Finished way better than Start 7/17/2015

Amazing course, amazing improvement, amazing amount of work I did with the course. Everybody uses the word amazing, I guess to me it means "really good". I took the course earlier than needed so I could have more than enough time to study before my exam date. That was a huge benefit. Friendly instructor and call staff when I registered. Cheap course, but worth it! more

Scored higher after the class 6/24/2015

My daughter scored higher on her SAT after the class. Company and instructor seemed very professional and it was a smooth transaction. Notably the class helped raise my daughter's score. Will bring my son to the program when he gets to the appropriate age. more

SAT Prep Course 6/4/2015

I wanted to have a course for my SAT that helped me improve my SAT score. I was told my by counselor that SAT is difficult. The SAT Prep Course form Sherwood Test Prep helped me SAT score go up. The course was important to me. more

GRE prep course was the BEST! 2/15/2015

BEST class I've taken outside of school. This class really helped me understand the GRE better than any book I read. I was so happy with the teacher and his teaching style. I would recommend to anyone. more

Where's my refund? Is this even legit? 2/11/2015

Paid the full amount for my son's SAT review on January 13,2014 in Denver, CO and was informed that the class was cancelled because of instructor issues two days before the scheduled class. They gave me an option to get a full refund or sign up for the next class. I opted for a full refund. It has been three weeks but I have yet to see my refund. They said to wait another week and if it does not show in my account that they will cut me a check and send it via Fedex. I think they are pulling my leg. I am calling my lawyer. more

Only $500 for a comprehensive course and awesome instructor! Wow! 1/12/2014

I'd say this course is worth way more, yet they charge as little as possible. It's super cheap and there is nothing wrong with that. This isn't a get what you pay for type of course. You get a whole lot (materials, hours, awesome instructor, etc.) for way cheap. I had a great experience. more

My instructor was an inspiration to me, was a leader, and we could follow him through our jounrey because he had been there before. He was really personable and funny. We all thought, the whole class thought he set the tone and made us WANT to work hard and study for a better score. Thank you Sherwood Test Prep! more

Better than I expected 9/30/2013

Sherwood test prep's GRE Review course was better than I expected. I was deficient in reading comp and the verbal side, but an ace at math. They gave me strategies and tips to help get through that section and do much better than I expected. more

I was impressed with my course and the instructor and structure helped me increase my exam score. I can only give a glowing review for my instructor, she had the most positive outlook and was a great test taker imparting us with countless strategies and skills. The format helped me study and made studying for the test manageable. more

My course was about as good as you can get. I thought my instructor was lovely, in talent and looks (haha!). The company staff were also very friendly and helped answer my questions. This was a beneficial and beautiful experience. I valued my time with the course and instructor. more

GMAT Prep 9/22/2012

I took the GMAT prep course hoping to improve my previous score. I did fairly well the first time, but wanted to improve my score 40-50 points. Unfortunately, the course was not catered to someone in my situation and I ended up matching my previous score. It seems to be fine for someone who is taking the GMAT for the first time, but I feel I paid way too much money for practice problems. The teacher was very intelligent, but was lazy, unprepared, and was 10-15 minutes late to every class. For someone serious about doing well on the GMAT your money will be much better spent with a more professional program. I certainly was reminded you get what you pay for. more
