The decor is great and the people are amazing! If you decide to go with the buffet you will have plenty of choices which is great if you are new to Indian food or just can't seem to decide what to get from the menu. If you order from the menu the lamb samosas are awesome! more

Expensive but ordinary food with limited choices 8/10/2010

First of all the dinner buffet at this restaurant is $15 !!!! I mean I have never seen such expensive buffet anywhere else. Secondly for such a high priced buffet it provides very very limited variety of food, needless to say that they only have one desert dish which too is ordinary.\r \r Pros: Let me think.....yes - \r 1. quiet place - as probably they won’t have any returning customers. \r 2. close parking - as one of the review says - it has parking right outside the door ? now that’s what makes a restaurant an excellent restaurant.... seriously????\r \r Cons: price, food more

Best Indian food in Sacramento 12/8/2006

My wife and I frequent Sher-E-Punjab because of the food (incredible selection on the buffet at lunch and dinner), the atmosphere is calm with indian music in the background, and the welcoming owner/manager, Lovely, who greets us at the door everytime! The friendly staff are genuinely concerned if you are having a pleasant dining experience and make it a delight to eat a vegetarian meal or meat. Awesome Indian buffet and menu 11/17/2006

Interesting atmosphere and amazing food. This spot has a large menu, which isn't always available, as some nights are flat-rate buffet nights. This buffet is the bomb! A large variety of foods, suitable for the carnivores and vegetarians alike, loaded with flavor and spices, for an authentic taste of India. Some dishes are mild, for the delicate among us, and some are pure fiery joy!\r \r The owner, Lovely, is aptly named! He is charming and incredibly helpful and on more than one occasion has slipped me several free samosas to take home!\r \r Judging by the number of Indian people eating here, I know the food must be the real deal! Pros: Parking right outside the door! more
