The salon was very clean (a requirement for me) friendly staff, no obnoxious odors, relaxing, and if you want chit chat, no problem, if you want quiet, no problem either. The staff was great! They offer free bottled water and the chairs are huge big comfy massage type chairs you can recline in. Heaven! And, get this, a hot rock massage on your feet AND your legs. Geesh! That was worth the $ alone.
This is a very small fairly quiet little shopping strip but it's convenient and right off the 101. You can tan, manicure, have lunch, dinner, or drinks, all right here. The parking can get crowded during lunch and rush hour from work but I've never NOT been able to park.
I've also never had to wait more than 20 minutes and that was without an appointment. They are great with walk-ins. =)
I'm not a big 'nail' person as I've always had pretty nice long nails but there are the odd occasions my nails don't co-operate or I'm with sisters and we treat ourselves.
Such was the case my 1st visit to Shea Nails. Sis was visiting from out of town and we were new residents to Scottsdale, so off we went.
I had ""Jenny"" and sis had ""Dina."" Both girls were excellent! We both had mani-pedi's and spent a very relaxing visit. One thing that impressed me about Jenny is how gentle she was. I am somewhat tender footed but I've also had some technicians that put me in mind of a demolition derby. OUCH! Jenny was very gentle and didn't hurt me once.
I also remember being surprised at the price on the mani/pedi. *Very* reasonable and less than what I'm used to paying. Not only that but Jenny also added the cutest design, a palm tree, sunset, and 2 birds in flight on my 2 toenails. All for only $5 more! I am really surprised at a few of the reviews that said theirs only lasted a few days. I've had this one on almost a full 2 months! (Pic. attached.Yes they need to be done, still, 2 months almost remember? =D)
If you want top service at a reasonable price, comfy atmosphere, give Shea Nails a try. I think you'll be glad you did. =)
