I've been reading several complaints about the bouncers. Wouldn't you be angry too if you were a bouncer? These guys are nothing more than meat heads with no college education. Or they could be former high school football players who didn't have the talent to go pro. That's why they're bouncers! Think about it. If they had a decent education they would have a respectable profession. How upset would you be if you could do nothing more in life than to be a bouncer? What are these guys making-$12 an hour? I'd be throwing people out of my office too if I only made $12 an hour. These guys have to take it out on someone! I think I made more $ delivering pizzas when I was 16. I love walking in knowing that I probably make more than the entire staff combined! As far as the Asians--yeah WAY to many! How did this happen? They should keep quotas. Limit it to 50? Also, I hate it when the Asian girls think they are all that. A lot of them won't dance with you unless you are Asian. Oh well-my girlfriend puts all of them to shame. Great place in all, but the Bouncers got to change there ways. Certainly, in a great establishment like this needs a set of rules to keep safe for those who want to party safe. Though there aren't any moral grounds how a bouncer can be so quick to judge. It's cool that they do there jobs and having to interrogate to sort the problem. Nonetheless, I'm with a mixed group of guys & girls rolling into the club. Soon later, I hardly can't find anyone cause they all have been kicked out. For reasons that sound very stupid like not tipping, looking drunk or intoxicated, or the red face. And I was very surprised how the bouoncers react cause soon as I was making sense of what was going on. One of the bouncers asked me to leave and I asked "why?" He just said to leave cause all of my friends are leaving while pushing me out the door. Becareful don't buy anything cause if you do and don't tip they will kick you out. This bar is a good time all nights of the week. Friday and Saturday are fun if you want to go to a top 40's bar with two dance floors. They also have the Spasmatics play which is a really fun 80's cover band every now and then. The bouncers are awesome. They keep the trash out and keep teh place safe and fun. There is a good mix of people and a fun time. The bar is big enough that you can move around but it doesn't feel empty. There are not as many rich stuck up people like in newport bars. Good times. more

If you're looking for an exciting new club to check out on a Saturday night - DO NOT VISIT THE SHARK CLUB! This place is boring! When you walk in it looks like an abandoned wharehouse. They have a huge projection screen tv and a few couches, fireplace, pool tables, dance area, and shark tank, hot waitresses. HOWEVER, The price is $15 to get in, the pool tables cost $15 per hour, there's no where to sit besides the couches if you don't want to dance. And there's usually too many Asians! Damn, where are all the white girls in Orange County? You're also expected to tip in the restroom, at the bar, when you order food, and when you get a drink from a bartender/waitress that takes your order out on the floor. I highly DO NOT recommend going here unless you're Asian! Visit Pierce Street Anex instead! Pierce Street Anex may be crowded but at least there's a mix of cultures to choose from! moronic bouncers. my friends and I were having a good time, when my friend accidentally almost slipped on some trash on the ground. bouncer saw him and assumed he was drunk. We tried to be rational with him and my friend even past all his dam tests with flying colors, but still they kicked him out. When I sent a complaint to the club manager, they passed my complaint around. Basically getting ignored. Also the girl with the beers. you grab a beer and pay for it and you're expected to tip her. As far as i understand it, tipping should only be given when a service is provided. My friend grabbed a beer, paid for it and opened it himself, and the chic complained to him that he needs to tip. what a joke. she goes and complains to the bouncer and gets him kicked out. So i go to her and telll her, "here's a tip, if you want a tip, maybe you should work a little bit harder instead of standing there and looking pretty, don't expect to get tip for that. lol" Of course the peabrain complains to the bouncer and have us kick out. Total BS. Also you're not allowed to bring your cell phones in on Friday nites, but it's ok on saturday nite. Also BS. And if you're slightly red before you enter, they won't let you in either, which is bs if you have the asian glow. you can be really drunk and not be red and still get in. but if you're a little red, you cant center. That's discrimination. like being red is a good measurement of alcohol level. so the shark club is definitely asian-rific on friday nights, which is ok for us yellows but maybe a little uncomfortable for those who aren't. don't mess with bouncers, they are way serious and constantly patroling the floor. the decor is great but contrary to popular belief the shark does NOT get fed at midnight- total disappointment for me and my crew. drinks are expensive and overrated. lots of couches and booths to sit down and relax in, but music is way too loud to talk over. the top 40 music is ok. Got in real fast despite the line outside. Small bar, but it didn't take long to get served. There was a show on that Saturday night. They gave away free stuff, and provided entertainment...dancing and live hip hop show. The atmosphere was great. The smoking lounge outside was cool with the big 'ole fireplace. Shark tank was chill, except I think the tank was too small for the little sharkee. He seemed paranoid swimming in circles. Mixed crowd. Good people watching. Valet was good. My friends and I always have a good time at Shark Club. You don't get that snobby Hollywood vibe at all. The dance floor is always packed with fun people. Everything from the cover charge to drinks is priced reasonably. There's usually a lot of Asian party people on Friday nights, and a more diverse crowd on Saturday nights...regardless, both nights are fun. In addition to drinks and dancing, there's also sexy go-go dancers to check out, plenty of pool tables, and food which I have yet to try. I haven't had a bad experience so far. I'll keep coming back!
