Our flooring installer called to say Mr. Norman and his helper left several large piles of old hardware and rubbish on the floor, stalling the flooring install. Also, he complain...

Excellent quality of work 1/23/2012

Sink plumbing is very neat and well-designed. A different plumber told me the entire drain system (in the external wall) would need to be redone and that a disposal could not be installed in the sink given the current drain location, nor could the non-disposal sink be attached to the existing drain pipe. Shamrock's successfully configured the sink cabinet plumbing so that no changes were needed to the house wall plumbing and the quality of work is immediately evident with a casual glance under the sink. He also came out quickly on a Saturday with no extra charge for a weekend call and was able to do the work within a few hours of my initial call. All-in-all an extremely pleasant and money-saving experience. I will use this plumber again. more

Repiped House 1/2/2012

I called shamrock plumbing four days before Christmas because I had a leak in my garage behind the water heater. I spoke to a person on the phone and he told me that there would be someone at my house with 45 minutes to one hour. About 20 minutes later Mark called me to let me know he would be at my home in 20 minutes. He was right on time. Mark was very professional and knowledgeable, he told us instead of guessing what or where the leak was coming from, he removed the water heater and connected the two pipes together to check if the leak was from the water heater or from the pipes in the wall. As it turns out the leak was on the piping coming up through the concrete. this was our second leak in that area so instead of a repair we went with the repipe. Due to the very compeditive price of the repipe and the great deals offered we also changed the water heater to a Hybrid heater with a rebate and we also changed the tub and shower valves at the same time. We got two other quotes for the was things, we noticed that Mark was supplying and installing all those extras including the repipe for the same price the other companies were charging just for the repipe alone. The repipe we completed in one day including the extras and the drywall soon after. Everything was completed before Christmas with little to no mess and before the family arrived on Christmas eve. I wouldn't hesitate to use shamrock plumbing again for any of my plumbing issues and I will recommand them to all our friends. Thank you Mark and shamrock plumbing. more

Repiped Our house in 7 hours.. Excellent!! 9/6/2011

Mark and his crew repiped our house in a day. I called Mark out on a Tuesday afternoon for a free estimate to repipe my house. We have the gray poly pipe water lines, and so far we have had three leaks. Mark came out within two hours. He was on time and very professional. He gave me some options for repair or replacement of the piping, and his repipe estimate was the lowest of three other companies. We set the repipe for the next day. Jimmy and his crew came out to my house and started the repipe at about 8.30am and were finished at about 3pm. Everything was cleaned up behind them. A very clean and well executed job from start to finish. Jimmy kept me up to date with progress reports and walked the complete job when they had finished. I wouldn't hesitate to call Shamrock Plumbing for any other plumbing problems in the future, and I will recommand them to everyone I know. more

Great Work.. Very Clean.. Great prices 9/6/2011

Mark responded to my call quickly and since the other technicians in my area were busy, he came over to fix the leak under my kitchen sink himself. Although I called Shamrock after 5:00pm Mark showed up within two hours and not only did he do a great job fixing the leak and replacing the water faucet with a new one I had, but since he was already there, I asked if he could also re-route the pvc piping in my hybrid water heater (which by the way, another plumber had done wrong during installation, not allowing enough clearance for the filter to be removed for cleaning). Mark did the entire job for a great price and the quality of his work was excellent; I feel he went the extra mile to ensure we were satisfied with his work and we have not had any problems with the repairs since. I will definitely call Shamrock if I ever need any plumbing done in my house again and will recommend them to all my friends!!! more

Great People 3/5/2011

Contracted with Mark Norman because he was very professional. I felt he was honest and my feelings are usually pretty good. The sub made a mistake and Mark and the crew came out immediatly and fixed the problem which was no small matter. He never once tried to indicate anything was my fault and assured me that all was well. It was. The new shower they built is beautiful. Much better then any surround you could buy and the price was very reasonable. more

Bath Tub Repalced 10/12/2009

Replaced garbage disposal in kitchen. Installed new bath tub and replumbed it. Installed new bath faucet and drain. Had a tile man come back the next day and repair the wall and add new tile. Pros: Honest and straight forward Cons: Didn't find any. more

Great Job 10/11/2009

Had the entire house ""repiped"" because of a leak in the slab. Pros: Felt like a member of the family more

Beware! 7/21/2009

Our flooring installer called to say Mr. Norman and his helper left several large piles of old hardware and rubbish on the floor, stalling the flooring install. Also, he complained they had been using his tools and shopvac without his permission. They also used our ladders and hand tools without our permission. They did not work everyday nor keep normal work hours. On most days Mr. Norman did not appear. Each day we would find problems. Mr. Norman said we were overly critical. We hired an independent inspector to review the work. The inspector said the work, construction and plumbing, was shoddy, the materials poor, and many shortcuts were being taken. He didn?t think any of the work would pass even a cursory home inspection. The tiling guy who showed up had never worked with Mr. Norman before. Mr. Norman had promised him that the areas would be ?tile-ready? upon his arrival, but he said it was the worst drywall work he had ever seen and that he would not tile over it. We told Mr. Norman that we wanted to end our contract with him. Mr. Norman asked if we would be leaving a negative review on Angie?s List. When I said that I had not thought about that yet, Mr. Norman offered us a refund of $2500 to ensure we were happy and would not leave him a negative review. Mr. Norman asked for 60 days to produce the refund. We agreed and hired another plumbing firm and tiling firm to take over. The new plumbing contractor wrote: ?I felt it very important that I tell you what poor workmanship we found when we took over from your first plumber. The first problem we encountered was that he had closed up walls with open crimp fittings on the pipes he had installed. That told me he never tested his work. If we hadn?t torn out the durock he had installed and tested the pipes, you would have had major flooding in your walls the first time you ran your shower, destroying your new walls, paint, base boards, and flooring. After finding that, I started to check on everything he did and I found a number of other problems with his workmanship, including: 1. loose shower head fittings in the master shower (high potential for future leaks behind the walls) 2. building materials issues (they used damaged durock and had used a combination of drywall screws, rusty nails, and other inappropriate hardware to secure the durock). The durock itself was installed so poorly that you most certainly would have had moisture getting through and causing mildew and eventual disintegration of walls 3. several instances of unsecured piping 4. piping had been run without installation of stud guards, leaving your piping vulnerable to puncture or cutting We had to remove all the durock your first plumber installed and redo a lot of piping. I estimate that the portion of your invoice which covers the cost of repairing what your first plumber did is $2300.? We never received the promised refund from Mr. Norman. Cons: Horrible work, horrible experience. more
