The park to park in 4/21/2010

Seven Hills Park is one of my all time favorite local spots to see in springtime. As you emerge from the T or Davis square, you head straight into the park, which contains the bike path. The brick path is surrounded by lines of blossoming trees on either side. When I've forgot to take my Claritin, I call it ""THE GAUNTLET."" When sufficiently medicated, however, you can truly appreciate the blooming tree blossoms and petals that leave a trail on the ground. The park is open and green, with funky sculpture towers, each representing one of the seven hills. This is a spot beloved by many, so in springtime, you should also expect to share the space with park-lovers and drum circle aficionados. There are even martial arts classes that practice there when it's nice out. Best of all, once it's warm, the town starts screening free movies in the park (Yes, I saw ""Twilight"" in this park). Beyond your fellow loafers, you'll come across bikers, pedestrians, and dogs walking up the bike path - it's great for people watching, picnicking, or napping... everything I require from a park in springtime. Pros: foliage, wide open spaces Cons: subway grates, the pollen that comes with blossoms more
