Settebello Pizzeria Napoletana

If you've ever spent any time in Italy, you know that pizza there is not like the pizza in the States. Except for this place -- and it's sheer perfection. The people are so nice, and considering the quality of their food, they could be snobby as hell and get away with it. Better than any Pizza I've had in New York. Very light but great tasting. The smoked fennel sausage topping is the best in my opinion. Excellent service and very reasonable prices. The only negative is the location. I live in the Northwest and is kind of a hike for me. Supprt this place and hopefully they will open a Westside location. I was born in Napoli and had moved to America 3 years ago. I have looked for true pizza like we make in Napoli ever since. I went to Settebello after hearing about it from two other Italians. I went on a Sunday night and it was full of Italians. Everyone speaking Italian. The pizza almost made me cry, it brought back so much memories. If you want true pizza the way we make it in Napoli then you must try Settebello. I think some of you will not like it because it is very much different than your American pizza you get at pizza hut. Authenticity prevails at this pizzeria. A variety of pizzas - my personal favorite being the Margarita... crushed tomato, garlic, basil, and other fine ingredients upon request. Everything is imported from Italy which means quality and truly unique flavors are accomplished. Each pizza is artfully prepared. The ambience is warm and inviting. One of my favorite places in Vegas/Henderson that remains a constant on my weekly list of places to dine out or to order take out. more

My first ever citysearch review! My friend who had lived in Italy found this place said it was just like the pizza he ate in Italy. I have never been to Italy but now I have to go! It was incredible how simple yet perfect this pizza was. The tomatoes they use are out of this world. Crust had a nice char and the olive oil is the best I have ever had. My friend went the weekend the article came out and there was a line out the door last night it was almost full but we got our pizzas very quickly(within 5 minutes). I am taking a couple of friends back tomorrow. I'm already craving it. Only negative is that I doubt I will be able eat pizza hut or dominoes pizza ever again. Went on April 1, 2006, Saturday at 6pm. They were not taking reservations. Had a thirty minute wait and after ordering another 35 minutes for the 12"" Margherta pie, $9. Add another 20 minutes for the check and another 10 to process, and I felt like I was back in the old country too. VPN status was given to them on 3/15/06 which means they make pizza the traditional way as in Napoli. Wood fired oven, no rolling pins, fresh milk mozzarella, etc. The tomato sauce was exceptional. The crust was way too thin 1/32"" and charred. The sausage, Saliccia $2, was so thin it was tasteless. The cheese was put on so sparingly that I hardly noticed it. The kalamata olives, $1 were not cut and were rolling off the pizza. I will update this report with a future visit if things have improved. Pizza just like Italy. This place will be the hotest spot in Vegas within 6 months. Crust is out of this world good. Light, airy and smokey.
