Seligman Animal Hospital: Bhaskar Bathala DVM

I am only writing this review because Veronica wrote a review saying BEWARE!...my dog Chingy has been going to Dr. Bhaskar since he was born back on july 10th 2002.....since chingy has been about 8 he has been getting ear infections, sometimes twice in one year.....Dr. Bhaskar has been extremely great and helpful....I didn't have all the money and he let me pay him at a later date.....he has always been there for chingy....Dr. Bhaskar is a humble guy and he may come across as not caring but he DOES!!! he is a quiet man....... so i think with Veronica leaving bad and wrong reivews isn't fair to DR.Bhaskar and his staff.... more

Dr. Bhaskar and his staff are awesome, and are so great with my pets (5 cats and 1 dog). Recently, I had my dog (Bear) neuthered but not at Seligmans and ended up with catching the kennel cold. Dr. Bhaskar took the time to examine and evaluate my dog and answered all of my questions and concerns. Bear was given antibiotics along with cough tablets. After a week or so, My baby Bear was his normal self again. Seligman's animal hospital is the best, it may not be all that great of an office, but the Doc and his staff are the best. Very affordable, take it from me, I have 5 CATS! and 1 dog. more

I took my pregnant dog to the vet. Her legs gave out and she was bleeding from her vagina. I was thinking this might be a sign of a miscarriage 5 fetus puppies not developed. The doctor checked her and said she was fine and she will be due in a couple days. I got home and she miscarriage all the puppies. Why will the doctor tell me she is fine if she really wasn't? A further examination or x ray or something could've determined better than just looking at her and feeling her. She is depressed and doesnt want to do anything right now. It just gets me upset that he could've told me to further to test to determine if the puppies where still alive and not going to be miscarriage. more

Doctor Bhaskar is an extremely knowledgeable Veterinarian who sincerely cares for both my puppy(10 months), Lil' Dude, AND I. \r His prices are very, very reasonable and his hours are terrific. \r The location could put off some people, but believe me when I say that Doctor Bhaskar, his Staff and Hospital are ALL outstanding. His having a parking lot is a welcome 'plus.'\r When Lil' Dude had to stay overnight, Doctor Bhaskar and his Staff listened to and responded to each and every one of my questions and concerns(I love my Mini-Schnauzer) with expertise gently applied to Lil' Dude, of course, AND ME ~ @ NO CHARGE.\r \r Doctor Bhaskar gave me more information than I'd found while researching Mini-Schnauzers! \r This is the real deal where you'll find then to be genuine. We live in the suburbs and we trying to find an affordable vet to crop our puppies ears. This vet was so affordable and was so good with our concerns and questions. Don't let the look of the business turn you away from the outstanding caring services this clinic provides to your pet. If we lived closer he would be our choice for our dogs primary health care. to the person that took the beagle puppy to seligman hosp. you should have known, never to buy puppies from pet stores, not only do they ALL buy from puppy mills,the puppies are always sickly and are in bred for profit, ( former pet store owner) so the pet store paid 100.00 for the puppy and you got ripped off and a sick puppy. DR,Bahskar is a great ,reasonable vet in a low income area, we are thankful to him for staying around!!!!!! more

My dog is prone to ear infections and the doctor is always helpful and charges are reasonable, he knows this and only charges for medication. He kept her overnight and I had to pay nothing..some vets want you to pay for that. more

I have a Lab mix Pit (Boss) and many of the vets I checked for getting my dog taken care of where definitely over charging me. There were vets that were charging me an amount as if it was an emergency visit. plus any shots and dworms and frontline like what I buy for Boss. Too much. I came to this vet and i was thankful for him to have taken care of him for me and for a good price. more

We have been with DR. Bhaskar 20 plus years. He has taken such good care of our pets.We are honored to say he is our vet and he always takes time to answer our questions.We recommend him to everyone we know that has a pet and wants that pet to be part of the family.He will even take time to speak to you about what dog would be good for your family before you buy it.He does not treat our dogs inhumane he takes care in how he works with them. We would never think of going anywhere else even if the visit was free we would stay here because he is a great Dr. He is not a mind reader so have your questions ready and he will answer them.Take it from a family that has been going there not only once but for 20 plus years. more

Beware!! Do not trust your animal to this Vet. I took my beagle puppy to this Hospital because the pet store I bought him recommended him. I thought the receptionist was very friendly and helpful when I went for the visit and the hours were good. But the doctor did a new puppy visit in 3 minutes an only briefly answered any of my questions. Unlike the past review he had no interest in my being confused and he shrugged off my dogs cough saying it was nothing amoxicillin wouldn't help and that he took care of him since he was born and that my dog was in wonderful health. 3 days later and after he started becoming so lethargic he wouldn't even walk and barely ate, I decided to take him elsewhere since this vet continued to say he would get worse before he got better. My puppy not only had pneumonia but also an arrythmia which the other vet is sure he was born with and exasperated by his illness. Even after this the vet still insisted that my Chico was in excellent Health. Thank Go more

Dr. Bhaskar is very nice and the prices are very resonable. I would recomend them to anyone who is looking for a vet. The hospital looks old but the Vet is so nice it more then makes up for it. He does not mind answering a million questions for any new pet owner. He also only recommends what is really needed not just things to spen money on. more
