If this company is the company that is run by Rick Haile (same address and #), then my recommendation would be to get as far away from this person as possible. He has behaved like a crook towards me. I recently bought house that many years ago his family owned and adjacent to a piece of unoccupied property still owned by Rick. My sewer line runs through this property and is currently clogged and needing to be excavated to be fixed.
I am very poor right now, and my wife is sick with Cyclic Vomiting Syndrome and I explained my situation to him and offered him 100 dollars to let me put a cleanout in the alley. After hearing my wife is sick and knowing I had no choice but to agree to his terms, he told me I could put a clean out there only if I payed him $250 and dug the hole out by hand. Because I couldn't afford this, I ripped up my driveway and against the plumbers' requests, put the clean out 12 feet farther back than it should have been hoping it would be enough. It wasn't. So after several hours of ripping up my driveway, I was talking with guys from the city about my predicament. And that's when they explained that Rick had stopped by the city office earlier that morning before he came to see me and found out that where I wanted to dig was within city right of way and I could dig there without his permission.
So to be clear, instead of admitting that where I wanted to dig was permitted by the city and allowing me to get my sick wife a working sewer, he tried to extort 250 dollars out of me knowing he had no legal right to do so. He also warned the plumbers that if they even nicked one of his trees he would charge $1,000! If it weren't for the great guys at the city this guy would have conned me out of $250+.
I can't speak to Rick's quality as a contractor, but I can speak of his character and how he handled this situation. I personally would never hire, speak to, look at, listen to, take advice from, smell, or deal with in any way this man. I feel he is truly one of the most predatory crooks I have ever had the displeasure of meeting.
