Schenectady Animal Hospital

I've read some of the other reviews and believe them to be unfair. I've been taking my dog there for years, mainly just for shots. I liked how they schedule appointments so animals aren't in the waiting room at the same time. I really like that. Recently, my dog almost died from pancreaitis. I chose to have my dog treated on an outpatient basis due to my dog's age, prognosis, and cost. After my initial visit, I noticed I was not charged for an office visit ($45) even though the vet took spent a good amount of time with my dog. Once my dog needed Xrays years ago, and I thought I was totally ripped off, so I called several other vets and discovered the price was middle of the road. I think it's important to remember, they are an animal ""hospital"" and as a result, lean toward doing everything ""by the book"" so to speak in terms of care and tests to treat the animal. more

A little over 8 years ago we began going to Dr. T and his staff with our two baby pugs. The care and concern of this company is amazing. We rescued a third pug 2 years ago. He was very sick and abused and Dr. T and his staff made him good as new. We have gone on vacation for a week and boarded them with Schenectady Animal Hospital and would not hesitate at all to do so again. Now that Winston is older and has a heart condition and is sick, they care so much for him. They give us straight answers and call just to see how he is doing. We will never use another vet and HIGHLY recommend Dr. T and his lovely wife and their staff. more

This place is horrible. Do not take a chance w/ your pet. only options are to do nothing--or spend a fortune on every test out there. I Also KNOW that they did not actually draw blood for a test they charged me for. Blood was NOT drawn. more
