Savory Cafe

I love to stop by Savory and have a snack and drink. They have a pretty substantial amount of food for their size, and a great place to eat it in. The staff is courteous and the location is great. more

This is a small café located on Carroll Avenue in Takoma Park. The atmosphere at this venue is very relaxing. You can order food items and caffeine related beverages. They brew some wonderful coffee and tea here. I mainly only come here for the coffee but they also have some great healthy food options. All the salads taste fabulous. more

Savory is one of those great places to come if you're out and can't decide what you want to do or eat. The atmosphere is literary café....seating downstairs is comfortable and informal, and the restaurant will let you stay as long as you want. The food is served cafeteria style and the menu seems to change daily. Everything is fresh and there are plenty of choices for those who don't eat meat too....dishes like vegetable lasagna or turkey burgers or salads...and it's all good. They serve gourmet coffees too. The atmosphere is somewhere between restaurant and fast food, but definitely pleasant -- a place where you might want to come and park for a bit with a book. And in the warmer months, you can sit outside. The prices are moderate. more
