The Santa Maria Speedway is fun every once in a while. Since Santa Maria doesn't have a whole lot of entertainment, the Speedway is something to do on a Saturday night. The tickets are pretty expensive for just a local raceway, so that is a definite drawback. In the past, it has not been very family friendly with a crowd of rowdy drunks. They have really tried to become more family friendly and have a specific family section with no drinking and no swearing allowed.
