I've read a few reviews where people rave about Sandy's pet Grooming, and I can't help but wonder if they don't know the truth or have been asked to write 5 star reviews. There is an older woman there that tends to yell at dogs, because I caught her doing so. Not all dogs handle that well. And it's not their place to treat them that way. Plus, my dogs are very obedient if you are nice to them. They resist when threatened. They also know when they don't like a place and this was their second time there, so when they started resisting and trying go back outside, I began to wonder. Then I heard the woman yell at them as the door closed behind me. I tried to pretend it didn't happen until I picked them up and saw the outcome. When the dogs were picked up, the most sensitive of the two was throwing up repeatedly. He was not sick prior to the visit, so his nerves were apparently shot for some reason. He gets upset when people start screaming. It doesn't even have to be directed at him, so imagine when it is. He has been to 2 other groomers in the recent past with no issues. And he almost threw himself against the door to get out when we were leaving. Something is not right there. There will not be a third visit. I'll drive 30 miles to the old groomer from now on. If you love your dogs, and they are good dogs... go elsewhere. Don't traumatize them at that place.
