Sandy Creek Ranch

I boarded my horses at Sandy Creek ranch for well over a year until I bought my own horse property. I still take them to Sandy Creek when I leave town because it is a safe place and I know they will be taken care of. The staff is knowledgable and observant, they go the extra mile. I have boarded my horses for over 20 years at various places and found Sandy Creek to be the best by far. It is safe for both horse and rider. Lynn is always happy to take friends to outings with her huge trailer and it has alwyas been safe and fun. Cathy, Bob (the hands), Lynn and Duane have always gone out of their way for anyone, they keep the ranch beautiful and serene, the horses are happy and so are the boarders. I love haing my horses at home but do miss hanging out and sharing stories with my friends at Sandy Creek. Pros: Reasonable rates, great staff. more

This is a wonderful place to board your horse! It is not a huge ranch so there aren't hundreds of boarders. So what you get instead is a place that knows your horse, loves your horse like you do, knows exactly who should be on the ranch, and offers a quiet place to go and ride without a bunch of lookie Lous. I wouldn't dream of bringing my horse anywhere else. I know he is taken care of and watched over like he is a member of the family. The owners are extremely fair, honest, down to earth people. Lynn is always setting up fun rides. Cathy who takes care of the horses, is amazing. I know my horse is in good hands. There is no snobbiness at this ranch. Just a bunch of people who have a big spot in their heart for their horse and the others at the ranch. Everyone gets along here, there is no waiting, the prices are great, and the service is exceptional! Pros: The owner and caretakers genuinely LOVE the horses more

Lynn and Duane are awesome people. Kathy who feeds and tends to the horses is always looking out for them. I have 3 horses there and would not move for the world. The review from the ""crazy"" lady is to be ignored. When you abandon your horse and don't pay board for 6 months what do you expect? Pros: small family feel more

i have boarded my horse at Sandy Creek Ranch for over 6 years. I would be VERY reluctant to ever leave. Lynne and Duane spicer are honest people and care for the horses and their boarders. I've had a few occasions where my horse got sick and needed daily care and I was unable to make it out as frequently as he needed. Lynne and Duane and their staff, were there to help me and my horse out. They are the kind of folks that will take you at your word, and would do anything reasonable for you. Unless you are dishonest with them, and lie or cheat them, in which case you have broken thier trust. And who would want to do business with someone that is dishonest? \r They do their best to provide a good and affordable boarding facility. They are caring, personable, and considerate, and the people that keep their horses there, all are friendly and like a big family of sorts. \r I couldn't say enough good things about them. The new riding instructor has a way of combining harmony and passion into every lesson with amazing results. Students are taught in Classic Western style, with lesson horses that are well mannered and perfect for any age rider. We are writing in response to Rhonda's rant. Not only is she quite mistaken, the horse she believes to be on our web site is a HE, named Tom. Tom is no longer with us and that web site was published with present photos over five years ago. Len Judd has long hair today past his shoulders. he has matured in years, The photos of Tom and Len show Len with short hair. That is because it was taken over five years ago.\r \r Rhonda, you persist to harass my family and business over something we have no knowledge about. We have been out of the country in the UK. We have three horses none of them even vaguely white!\r \r Remove your post or yes, you shall find yourself in court but not for small claims. Look up the civil code for slander. I have had my horse Shammha girl for 16 years and boarded my horse at Spicers Sandy Creek Ranch for 3 years. On Aug.12,2006 I went to see my horse and called out her name like always and she did not ansewer... I Talked to Lynn Spicer owner of ranch. She said she sold my horse to a friend of hers because I was $ 540.00 behind! She jumpped back in her house closed the door and smiled at me....That's the kind of people your doing bussiness with or be comming friend with... I considered my self a friend of theres since I took care of her sick father,her house cleaning,cooking there meals and doing all landscaping and landry,my husband would take them over drinks before dinner.. My horse was my only reason to smile. Lynn has six horses of her own. Why would she hurt me so bad? I now believe the judds have nothing to do with the sale of my horse. I am sorry for any hurt but that horse looks just like mine and Lynn did sell her to friend with no notice of who or where..My only dreams where with Shammha girl and the baby she was going to have someday..Sad thing is Lynn new of my dreams.
