Sand & Sea Pirates Beach

I was so impressed by the large professionally run office and staff that checked in during the week to make sure everything was working well. The home was sparkling clean with fresh sheets and towels and they provided all the little things we needed to get started. The note book gave us lots of good information about the home and activities locally. Great wifi connection so I got some work done too. Charming decor. And it was nice and quiet - no loud partiers like I've had at other rentals. It was a real vacation at the beach. more

We reserved our houses over 4 months in advance. 6 weeks before our vacation start date they called to tell us one of the houses had plumbing problems and it was basically up to us to find something else. They were not helpful at all, nor did they offer us a comparable property, as stated in our rental agreement. They even wanted to keep our reservation fee, but decided to refund it after we pointed out that we had done nothing wrong and would seek legal advise if they didn't refund it. I was promised a callback from a supervisor to discuss my concerns and NEVER got one. We have been doing business for over 16 years with this realtor and have made numerous referrals during this time; but from now on I will go thru VRBO or Castaways and deal directly with the property owners. SandNSea has been removed from my ""favorites"" once and for all. Pros: refund came a week later Cons: not customer oriented more

A month ahead of our stay I did ask for a late checkout and was granted that. It was even written in my contract but on the day of checkout the management sent the police to get us out of the house at the regular checkout time.
