Don't believe the angry reviews this place is great. 9/17/2011

Had a huge addition built for a dinning room and dance floor. Large outside tropical deck. Pong on Tuesday nights with a great crowd and prizes. Country and Rock Night. Thursday Team Trivia with DJ Jason K as host and more prizes. And Huge dance parties on the weekend. Sunday NFL. Its not dirty, the crowd is great, professional and has tons of security to keep things fun and safe. The owners go the extra distance to make sure its always interesting and the experience is a great one. more

Horrible! 11/2/2010

This is the worst place I have ever been too!\r I have tryed going there multiple times every time there is a problem.\r The service is horrible every time I go there!\r The people that go there normaly are dirty.\r The bouncers are anti-military \r There really is nothing good to say about it. more

The Sand Dollar 3/12/2010

I have never really had an issue at the Sand Dollar other than it being so cramped until last Saturday. I ordered a rum and coke and it did not taste right. I turned back around and said that I thought maybe the soda wasn't pouring right or something. The bartender checked one of the soda taps talked to the manager came back over and said....I can fix this for you but you will have to pay for it! I couldn't believe it. NEVER have I been told that nor have told anyone that in my 10 years of bartending. I was with a wedding party and NONE of us ordered another drink there. We left and went to Horigan's where we have always had wonderful service! (I could understand if I went back 10 minutes later with have a drink) Very bad service. I'm still irritated and it was almost a week ago! more

Huge menu and nothing bad yet! 10/20/2008

we are some older people that enjoy the service and the food. My wife and I have been back at least six times and never got bad service. We take our friends and have gotten to know the owner. She recently had a fourth birthday party for her customers. games and gifts and contests along with carny food...fab.\r Did I mention the food ... its just great and a huge menu. She has added on to the place to give it more space. I have seen motorcycles out front but found out they belonged to the local police.\r Try it Pros: menu Cons: size of the restroom more

cramped and bad service 1/30/2008

was bar hopping in elmira and some friends told me to go up there-did not like it-it was so tiny. small can be okay but it was an uncomfortable squeeze, and not because it was so crowded-because it was so small-there were some not so desirable clientele and it took like an hour to get one drink! i couldn't even get to the bar-ended up going to rounding third and the hi bar-liked them much better. Pros: really can't think of any Cons: small, hot, crappy service more
