Wild Animal Park fun for tots~ 11/30/2005

The San Diego Wild Animal Park is a great place to bring your kids to see a variety of animals. If you live in the nearby area, I personally think a season pass is the way to go since it would be hard to stay there all day long with two young children. With a season pass you can go for a couple hours at a time all year long. The only downfall to this place is the heat in the summer months. I like to visit early in the morning or late afternoon to keep cool! more

Great Family Attraction! 11/14/2005

This is a great zoo and amusement park for the family. You can take a train ride throughout the park and see a large variety of the animals out in the open land. They have wonderful children's programs and camps as well as shows. They even have a camp over at night and Holiday programs as well. My family enjoyed this park better than the zoo. more

Depends on Seasons 9/21/2005

Right when I walked into Wild Animal Park, I felt as a traveler into the Safari. Sometimes, the best part of seeing these animals is actually seeing them. If I had to compare going to Wild Animal Park during spring or summer, I'd rather choose spring because of the clam temperature and the season where many animals gets to be seen. The best part was studying different bird specie. If you're interested in birds, I would recommend this amusement park. more

Has It's Good Points 8/19/2005

The biggest attraction at this park is the Safari Train. It an hour long and gets boring pretty fast. Once you see the elephants and attempt to see the Lions and Tigers (always hiding) you see 45 minutes of deer and rhinos. My husband usually uses this as an opportunity to take a nap. The park is nice. If you have a season pass it's good to go and just walk around for an hour or two. The kids love to feed the ducks and the birds. During the spring time, the Butterfly exhibit is awesome. That is the best thing about the park. The safari trails are long but you get good views of the animals. The new Lion exhibit is great and offers good up close views. more

Wild Animals and Wild Fun! 8/6/2005

The San Diego Wild Animal Park is a lot of fun! There you can observe koalas, pandas, flamingoes, and many other wonderful wild animals. The Children's Zoo is not only for kids. It has more than 30 special animal exhibits that the entire family can enjoy. more

Vast Wildlife Park 7/29/2005

Connected with the famous San Diego Zoo, the Wildlife Park is outside San Diego so there is a lot more open space for the animals. Instead of living in individual cages, many of the herbivorous animals live together in expansive open areas. They have a nice train ride around the park. Prepare to walk a lot. more

It's like you're in a Safari 7/13/2005

If you come to the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park, it's like you are in a Safari. This park is a lot of fun for all ages. You can take a bus ride and see the animals lounging around in the sun and going about their daily routines. At the park you will see that they try to replicate the actual habitat of that in the wild. With large open spaces for the animals to roam. Be prepared for of walking. The butterfly exhibit is very nice, you may be standing there looking around and a butterfly will land on you. The only drawback to this park is that it is nestled deep in Escondido where it gets VERY hot int he summer time. Bring plenty of water. more
