San Diego Chicken Pie Shop

I've always hated chicken pies until my mother brought these home to me while visiting California 30 years ago. I'm thinking oh my goodness I have to choke these down since she carried them home on the bus and raved about the place (she worked there in 1955). I didn't want to hurt her feeling but since tasting them 30+ years ago this is one my families favorite restaurant when we want comfort food. Just great food at low prices (an entire meal is less than $6.00 and that includes homemade (daily) pies). If you haven't tried them you've got to make it your next stop.
