Great for what it is...a good little fisherman's place.
I thought that this place had the best seafood in its price range of any place I have been in Pensacola so far. I consider myself to be a fairly good judge of food quality as my parents were quite the picky eaters and wouldn't dine anywhere they considered poor quality more than once. This meant bad food, bad service, poor environment, etc. They rarely eat at home so I have had my share of meals out.
Sam's was a great place to get good seafood, actually my Cobia was wonderful, at a fair price. A lot of places in Pensacola serve minimal quality seafood at unbelievable prices but not Sam's you get good food at a reasonable price. The staff was attentive and friendly with my children...a huge plus. This isn't a dress up place by any means but a good place to stop in and have a bite of quality seafood.
