Sam's had great service (although it took a few minutes for the hostess to come seat us). The servers were friendly and prompt. The restrooms were even clean (means a lot to me!)....

Sam's had great service (although it took a few minutes for the hostess to come seat us). The servers were friendly and prompt. The restrooms were even clean (means a lot to me!). The food was great and the prices are low. I will definitely be making this a normal spot driving to and from Dallas. The fried catfish was sooo good! My boyfriend ate the buffet and he raved about all of it. Highly recommended!! Pros: Example: best croissants in town Cons: What are the drawbacks? more

Good Food! 7/2/2008

The food is very good. We go there on every trip to Dallas. It is very resonable and there is a nice little gift shop to browse through. It is a great place to go with your family because you get a lot of food from the buffet and it doesn't cost an arm and a leg. more

Plan your trip on I45 to stop at Sam's Orginial Restaurant. The buffet is good county cooking. Great for busloads or a hungry family. The pies are out of this world. Inexpensive. Clean, large restrooms. Pros: Delicious food, Inexpensive, Buffet/Menu Order Cons: shabby, low ceiling, poorly lit more
