Worst place I've ever been! Do not waste your time or money! I had been to this beauty academy many times before when it had different instructors working there and it was great but recently I came to the salon to have lowlights put in my hair, which is medium blonde with 2 inches of regrowth of a dark natural blonde. The instructor told me that I couldn't have lowlights because the color wouldn't stay in my blonde hair (I have had lowlights put in my hair with no problems at numerous other salons and even once before at this salon.) Then the instructor told me that all they could really do was give me highlights to make my regrowth blend in. So I sat in the chair for 3 hours and then once they dried my hair a little bit there was no noticeable difference in the salon lighting. The hairdresser told me that all they had done was do highlights on my roots, which was not what I had agreed to. The instructor asked if I liked my hair and I told her that I did not like it and that I wanted a noticeable change like we had discussed. The instructor become very combative and rude with me so I paid $40 for the ""service"" and went home with my damp, un-styled, hair that they had left me with. Once I got home into better lighting I noticed that my hair had different sized brassy orange highlights only on my 2 inches or regrowth and it looked absolutely awful. I called the salon to ask if they could fix my hair to set it back to one color and the instructor told me that I would have to pay another $46 to fix my hair that they had ruined! I will not return to this salon ever again. I got my horribly embarrassing hair fixed for $30 at the Master Cuts in the Chapel Hills Mall where they actually did a good job and didn’t make me sit there for 3 hours while I was being lied to.
