I'm a rather low maintenance gal, but when I lopped off more than a foot of hair to donate to Locks of Love (a charity that provides wigs to children that lose their hair to cancer and alopecia), I did my homework and found Salon Palais.
It's located a little ways off Hwy 85 on Camden. It's not difficult to find, but you do have to keep your eyes open for it, otherwise you're likely to drive right on by it.
They are fully staffed with well experienced 'Hair Designers' that can emulate any celebrity hairstyle. The ambiance is welcoming--kind of a stucco, vineyard kind of feel--as is the receptionist. The designers have a gentle touch and a critical eye, so they'll make sure that every hair is in place and the right length before they let you walk out.
I highly recommend coming here.
