I took my blue heeler to Safari Pet Resort for a two night stay while my husband and I attended an out of town wedding. It was the worst experience of her life! We arrived to bring her home 10 minutes before the appointed pick up time, and it was literally pouring rain outside. I ran up to the door, eager to greet my beloved doggie, knocked on the glass door, and was told by the employee who looked out : "It's not time to pick up the pets." It was pouring rain, I'm 10 minutes early, and I'm told by a rude employee that I'm not allowed to get my dog yet! When they finally decided to let the customers in (most of whom were waiting outside in the rain holding umbrellas) I was appalled at her condition! She was so stressed from her stay she had started losing her fur! She was so hoarse she could barely speak, and her mouth was extremely dry, as if she hadn't had any water to drink. Her beautiful, normally shiny and clean coat, was matted and dusty. She was a nervous wreck when she saw me, and she appeared to be terrified. I've read what the owners wrote: "We do feel it is unfortunate, however, to occasionally encounter false or unsubstantiated statements on some local postings." I can assure you that what I have written is not false. I don't know what they did or didn't do while my dog was at their facility. But I can tell you this, my extremely intelligent dog has not been the same since her experience there. In my opinion, this place doesn't even deserve one star!
Pros: It looks nice from the street.
Cons: Poor care, rude employees, overly expensive
