For anyone who does not research the pet store that they are purchasing their animal from, they must be aware that odds are they are funding a puppy mill! Puppy mills are the most widespread form of animal abuse that can and will psychologically and physically effect your animal's health. Do not, under any conditions, fund these centers of abuse. There are too many pounds and rescue groups to be stupid enough to allow "convenience" to get in the way of humane treatment. SHUT DOWN RUSSOS, any others, ASAP for these helpless animals. more

How anyone can buy puppy mill dogs in this day an age (knowing full well the treatment that such dogs receive) should be ashamed of themselves. You are heartless b**tards. more

We bought Maggie Moo a mixed breed Malt-Pom from Russo's about one-year ago and I must say that, although I have never bought a dog from a puppy store before, Maggie is a picture of health. I couldn't be happier with my baby girl and would consider buying another puppy from Russo's. They do have a guarantee if you buy a puppy that becomes ill. You might be against buying from a pet store because of "puppy mills," but Maggie came from a kennel in the mid-west and you can check them out yourself because they give you the addresses of the kennel your puppy comes from. I looked at it this way: I rescued my puppy from the puppy store. She was almost six months old before anyone bought her and she went to auction once.....she is lucky to be in our family and we love her. more

Do not come here and buy your pets from them. Russo's pet store inside Irvine Specturm. So many people comes here everyday. Whenever I come here to check out their dogs, they all look very sad and tire. If you enter in the store you'll feel there is not enough running air. All the cages smell bad with dogs poo and pee. The people who works there takes a bad care of their pets. Other than that, I also have to say that they over price their pets!!! more

Whenever I visit Russo's, I notice that their puppies' eyes are always pure shot red. They are SAD and lonely. Their eyes say it. Hmm gee I wonder why they're so stressed all the time. Well, it's because they came from puppy mills. 9/10 dogs sold at pet stores were born in puppy mills. Say, what is a puppy mill? A puppy mill is a huge breeding place for dogs. These dogs have been kept in TINY cages with other puppies. They are confined to these cages for until they are "shipped" to a pet store. These dogs often come with diseases and after bought, get very ill. A friend of mine bought a beautiful German Shepherd from this same exact store, a few months ago. This puppy was healthy at first, then something was eating his leg. My friend spent over $5000 for this dog's surgery and medical bills. After a few weeks, he died :( If you're looking for a new pet, PLEASE please adopt!!! I love this pet store because it is so convenient to get to. Located in the Irvine Spectrum, it provides a nice break from the hustle and bustle of shopping by letting you play with puppies. It is always so nice to go and see the puppies and the kitties as well. They also have some birds and fish and guinea pigs and such but most people seem to enjoy the puppies more. They are always willing to accept your old newspapers; we always make it a point to drop off our old newspapers there if possible, because it's a good way of recycling them. As they say "Newspapers are like gold to us." Definitely visit this pet store if you get a chance. more
