Rush Fitness Complex

I too am a victim of The Rush Liars. I went in to get added to my friends membership for $12 - Rush management said no strings attached and that when I was ready to split off into my own account and have the $12 taken out of my account instead of having to pay my friend the money, that would be ""no problem."" Months later it IS a problem - they couldn't keep their promise. Also they took my picture at the front desk without my permission or at least giving the courtesy to let me know that my picture was being taken. I discovered this when I had to go in and figure out why they can't split my account off my friends because that is what the deal was on the front end. I was PISSED to see that someone had taken a picture of me and posted it to my account there. Their customer service is nothing to be emulated. Half the people at the front desk are distracted by their iPhones or by eachother. The gym is a nice facility, but the people who run the place are clueless about good customer service and need more training on how to present their deals and memberships so that they all know they can't promise the friggin moon and deliver a turd. more

As other have stated, these guys really push the line of ethics to the breaking point. I signed a cancellation form and agreed to pay the cancellation fee (outrageous amount of $99). However, they keep charging my cc and have LIED to my cc when I disputed the charges. AVOID these creeps like the plague. more

I joined the rush when the gym I was a member of went under. They were very pushy when I went in to use a trial membership, and outright lied about the terms. I was aware that I would be moving out of state soon, but the employee who was signing me up assured me that he could waive the $99 termination fee. Now the time has come, and they have told me that the guy was fired for making promises like that, but that they are unwilling to help me. I also received constant phone calls (one a week) from the company even after I had already joined saying that they had seen I'd been on the website within the last 3 months and wondering if I am still interested in joining. I also received several phone calls asking if I had taken advantage of their free hour of personal training- long after I'd already done so. The company policies are pushy and misleading. The setup of the gym itself is mediocre, and they don't let you go to locations other than the one that you signed up with. Pros: Good instructors Cons: misleading, pushy, unethical more
