Rugger's Landing, located at the mouth of the famous Turtle River and Pike Lake in Mercer, Wisconsin, is the perfect place to fish, boat, canoe, and relax. Pike Lake is 196 Acres with depth of 90-100 ft. It is excellent for fishing and boasts of prize size musky, walleye, smallmouth bass, northern and more. The resort has small, modest housekeeping cabins which sleep up to 6. A boat is supplied with each cabin. A boat launch is here for the convince of launching your own vessel. If you prefer not to cook in your cabin, a restaurant is on the premises, along with a bar to quench your thirst. Canoeing: Rugger's is the perfect spot to initiate a canoe/kayak trip. Rentals are inexpensive and come with the advise of best routes for your ability level, desire of challenge, and length of trip desired. Livery fee depends upon pick up and drop off points. You receive a map of your route with the canoe rental. There are several rivers to choose from with varying degrees of difficulty and scenery. Routes can range from rapids consisting of a few rippled rocks to Class III. We can make trips in varying lengths from one hour to three days with camping along the way. Fishing is good in the rivers and the lakes that are passed through and can be either added fun or set up as a fishing/canoe voyage. Canoe rental is $20 per canoe which includes livery to most drop-off points. There is a livery charge for greater distances. The restaurant is open for hamburgers, homemade pizza (best in town), chicken, sandwiches, and chili from May through October. Mid-June through August, we serve home cooked meals. Friday fish fry is one of the best around and includes either pollock, fried or boiled (poor man's style), chicken, or fish/chicken combo. The cabins are perfect for a vacation where you plan on being out in the fun and sun, or fishing. The three cottages each have an equipped kitchen, washroom with shower, and one room living quarters that sleeps up to six. Bed linens are included, but bring your own towels. Prices are low
