I have been riding the Dayton RTA since 1975. Even when I owned a car and a truck I found it more convenient to catch the bus. The bus stop was right next door. and right close to all my jobs.When I became disabled and became a senior citizen, it was easy for me to give up my driver's license to the suprise of the lady at the DMV. It was not traumatic for me to catch the bus because I was used to it. In fact I used to teach my clients at Goodwill how to catch the bus. Now I encourage other senior citizens to catch the bus and I assist new African immigrants to do likewise. Using the bus enables me to meet all my doctors and other important appointments. I am able to maintain my freedom. The monthly bus pass is affordable. I do not have to bother others for rides. I do not have to worry about where to get money to pay those who give me a ride.
