This is not the first place I looked for ratings on dealerships but it did come up in my search because I live in Royal Oak. I have a friend who works at this dealership and he was not available the day we came to test drive cars. The reviews I read seemed odd, many with similar author names, almost all of them written in just 3 months! I did my research and tried this dealership anyway because we live right behind it and I have a friend here - Wow! First my friend, who works at this dealership TOLD ME the reviews written since August here were all done by the dealership itself as a way to stop their slowing business!!! This place is worth a visit just to see the stereotypical 1970's Sales Manager on display! Mike Mckenzie - Manager, short fat guy with jet black - dye heavy hair, porn mustache and a BIG mouth - Can't miss him! After our sale man Walter could not close us (he was going for what I told by my friend later was a 5 pounder) car sales lingo for $5,000 profit!! Well the little fat man came over all nice and started pushing us to buy now! The more we said not today the meaner he got, finally he asked if I would mind waiting outside while he talked to my wife!!! We got up and left! he was still yelling and spitting at us! Disgusting. Because we did not want to create an issue for our friend we ended up at Dorian Ford. They said the only way they could have been making $5000 on me was with add ons and high financing etc. So remember most of the recent reviews here were written by this dealerships employees!! My friend just went to a new dealership and he says that since their renovation business has only gotten worse! STAY AWAY! more

I leased a car from Royal Oak Ford a year ago, and Walter Simmons worked hard to get me the best vehicle at the best possible price. He was very friendly and trustworthy, unlike most other car salesmen I have encountered at other dealerships. And Mike McKenzie, the General Sales Manager, took the time to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase. I have never seen the GSM of any other dealership care enough to get involved with a customer's car purcahse before. Both Walter and Mike are absolutely wonderful! The service department is terrific as well. Jeremy Mexico and Adam Bouchard are efficient and courteous. I had purchased a vehicle at a different area Ford dealership years ago that went out of business, and although I hadn't bought that vehicle from them, RO Ford still treated me as a valued customer. This experience is what led me to lease a car from RO Ford after I sold my previous vehicle. I will never go anywhere else as long as I live in Michigan!\r more
