I visit the Rouge Park Bar frequently and many things have changed for the better. The previous owner took back the place and it's a wonderful place and a bargain. The pizza is among the best I've tasted anywhere. All their beef is Prime Black Angus and having a father that grew up in the meat and packing industry, I know top of the line food. The ground round is twice the size of most bars at 1/2 pound, it's only $3.00 and it's served on a plate along with free potato chips. On Wednesday they serve a 12 ounce prime rib, 4 course meal for only $8.95. On Saturday they serve a 10 ounce New York Strip, 4 course meal for only $7.95. If fact, their salads, soups, pastas, fish, chicken and everything I've eaten in there is top of the line and I've never had a bad meal there. The major brand beers and liquors are only $2.00 to $2.50 each and one can get 6 iced beers in a bucket for only $11.00. Tell me where today one can get so much for so little. The prices here are right out of the 1970's.\r

The bar also has dart boards, a large pool room, video poker games and more. While it's still in the process of being remodeled, so far the remodeling has really enhanced the environment. Today's staff and customers are friendly and service is great. Unless Dearborn can come up with a club like this, the Rouge Park Bar will continue to have most of my bar and dining business. Try it, you'll like it.
Pros: Food, Drinks, Bargain Prices
Cons: During specials the lot is packed and it's not easy to find a parking spot.
