Keith #3322 saved us Mother's Day. He showed up in less than 15 minutes much to our relief. On Friday March 18th, the main sewer pipe in the cellar over flowed. The roots of the trees had plugged up the line. This is a condition that has no permanent solution unless you cut down the beautiful trees. Roto-Rooter has worked at my house since the 1970's. #59, Sherwin, the gentleman who perfoemd the service on Friday is the epitome of a dedicated worker. The roots had plugged the line to a degree that I had never seen. He kept at the process, never complaning, changing the razor bits, pushing and pulling , working with a vengeance. During this very long process, he was always pleasant and positive. When the job was finally finished, he cleaned up and left the vicinity cleaner than before, absolutely spotless. The kitchen sink could not be used because the new garbage disposal had not been installed. We needed a quick fix since a heavy snow storm was to hit Oyster Bay early that evening. One call to Roto-Rooter and a plumber arrived within the hour. The plumber completed the job in less than an hour. He left with everything very clean and in excellant condition. The snow storm was coming and the kitchen sink was out of commission. That is because the new garbage disposal was not yet installed. One call and Roto-Rooter arrived just before the storm. William was excellent, he explained what he would be doing and the cost. Then he quickly unclogged my toilet. And you know how bad it is when you don't have a toilet. I have heard nightmare stories about other sewer and drain companies. I called roto rooter with an emergency at 6pm. I was told they were ""backed up"" until tomorrow. NO PUN intended! I explained to them everything was backing up in my house and that I have a condition that I need to use the bathroom often. Christmas Eve 2010. A day to finish shopping and wrapping and getting ready for Christmas day. Always a busy day, but as a working Mom, every minute counts even on a holiday. \r \r It is 9 a.m. and I am ready to roll. The kids are dressed. My to do list is done. I go into the downstairs bathroom and notice the toilet is about to overflow. I think ""this can't be happening now ..."" But, our dog is named ""Murphy"" afer the proverbial ""Murphy's Law."" And, yes, after a half hour of plunging, running out for draino, things seemed to be getting worse. We plunged and plunged that toilet, my husband's arm was killing him.
