As new homeowners, we were afraid what to expect when we realized the drain in our laundry room was backing up with sewage. To make matters worse, it was a weekend. I searched for local plumbers online and found Roto-Rooter?s website, which said that they didn?t charge extra for weekends. I also saw excellent reviews for them not only on their website, but on many other pages as well. Bill came the next morning to diagnose the problem, which ended up being extensive. Throughout the whole process of diagnosing to fixing the issue, I can?t say how impressed I was with these guys. We worked mainly with Bill, Dan, and Ed. They constantly kept us in the loop about when they would be arriving to work, describing in detail the work that was being done, and ultimately, were very knowledgeable, skilled, friendly and kind. This was a huge factor for me, as the substantial amount of root and pipe damage we had was upsetting, and the guys at Roto-Rooter were nothing but understanding and helpful throughout the entire job. The workers that came to my house were honest, and really went above and beyond. I feel that Roto-Rooter has not only the advanced equipment needed for large-scale issues; they also have plumbers with the know-how and experience to execute the project successfully. They made a bad week a little better, and I will always remember that when it comes to recommending Roto-Rooter to friends and using them again in the future. more

I recently bought my house from an estate, the home sat empty for over a year. For the past 3-6 weeks I have tried ALL of the ""Walmart"" and ""Lowes"" chemicals with no avail. I even bought my own 25 and 50 foot snakes trying to clear the clogs in the sewer myself. I am ashamed of how much I spent on the ""do it yourself"" method...\r \r Ryan (1187) and Mat (996) came to my house on Sunday and performed nothing short of a miracle (or three or four!) Using their camera and water jet devices they cleared my ""main line"" of roots and hardened debris that was causing my backups and horrible sewage smells. Being a ""computer guy"" I am not well versed in plumbing other than what I researched online. Both Ryan and Mat took the time to educate me while they worked, showing and explaining how and where the lines run and why they (original home builders) did what they did. The guys explained why I had the problems I do with my utility tub drain and basement-shower drain and recommending a maintenance plan of ""pipe shield"" and ""root destroyer"" to maintain clear lines and avoid these issues in the future. I wished I hadn't been so stubborn and called for help sooner. I am very thankful Ryan and Mat for all of their help. If I ever need any more work done, I will be specifically asking for these guys, they made their way on to the ""Christmas card list"" for sure. more

RYAN BAUM AND ANOTHER TECHNICIAN WHOSE NAME I DID NOT GET HELPED ME TODAY AND THEY WERE VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY CLEANED OUT MY PIPES AND REPAIRED MY HOUSE TRAP. THEY GAVE ME ADVICE ON WHAT WAS DONE BY THE PREVIOUS OWNERS AND HOW I COULD RESOLVE ISSUES WITH THEM. I WAS ABLE TO USE $40 COUPON FROM THE WEBSITE AND THEY GAVE ME A SIX MONTH WARRANTY ON THE SERVICE WHICH WILL BE FREE THE NEXT TIME IT IS NEEDED - WHICH THEY SAID WILL PROBABLY HAPPEN AGAIN. We have a sewer problem in our basement and Patrick Boyle from Roto-Rooter came and worked for 5 hours, 4:15 - 9:15 pm, on a Friday. \r \r Patrick was very friendly and courteous. After looking at our basement, he explained the repair options and he started with the least expensive/easiest one then moved on to other options. I'm very satisfied with Roto-Rooter. The dispatcher and technician responded very quickly and are very helpful. Dustin (#2596) was very patient, dedicated and professional. Very pleased with Roto-Rooter. Wasn't sure who to call, so I randomly chose Roto-Rooter, and I'm so glad I did. From the dispatchers to the Tech who fixed my sink, they were all very professional and helpful. The dispatchers do a nice job of keeping you posted as to the time someone will arrive. They even call you a half hour before the plumber gets to your home. A plumber from the Murrysville, PA, office came out to fix my kitchen sink. He was timely, fixed the problem, and was very affordable. I never knew having to call for plumbing services could actually end up with a pleasant outcome. I will most definitely recommend Roto-Rooter to anyone who may be needing a plumber, and now I know who to call if any future plumbing problems arise. more

Arrived fast and did a great job. After snaking and scooping the main sewer, the Rep recommend a more expensive service to fix the problem. After agreeing to the that service, was not charged for the snake and scoop. more

I needed my sewer main replaced in my basement to the street. There was 120 of pipe that had to be brought into the house. The guys that were here were professional and courteous. The got here on time and stayed until the job was done. They did everything they could not to disrupt my families life over 3 days. When they were done the basement was back to its original condition. more

I had a mess in my basement, and needless to say I was rather frantic. This is our first home and we have only lived here for 3 months. My husband called Mr. Roto Rooter and within about 2 hours a nice man named Patrick (#2595) was at my door. He explained the process in a way I could understand and to top it off he was a very pleasant person to have at my home to do the job. By pleasant, I mean he talked to me like a human being, not just another client. He also talked to my kids when they chimed in (like they always do) instead of just ignoring them like some people have. Patrick was able to take care of the issue at hand in a timely fashion. He also brought me outside to take a look down my sewer pipe with the camera, (which I have to admit is a little more interesting than it sounds). Patrick clearly explained to me what I was looking at, if I was unsure about something he took the time to explain what I was looking at. We had sewer line backups inside our house and in our driveway grate. I called several local independent companies and either could not reach someone to talk to or they wanted to charge time and a half to come out after 4 PM. Then I called roto rooter and it was no problem to have someone come out the same day at 5 PM. The technician (Patrick / 2595) showed up promptly and was very helpful. The problem has been solved without any major work. Although not required Patrick recommended some future work to consider and also ways to prevent the issue from recurring. I would recommend Roto Rooter. more

Roto-Rooter in the Pittsburgh area really helped us out on a Saturday afternoon when our sewer line backed up into our basement and flooded. They were at our house within the hour and did not charge us extra for a weekend or for a service call. The price seemed a little high but for the convenience of having them come out within an hour of calling them was worth it. They also had a $40 off any service coupon on their website which we were able to use and save a little money! I would definitely recommend them when you need someone quick. The plumbers were also very friendly and professional. more

Service was great but the prices were high. Also, I called and left a message for a manager and he never returned my call. I'm not sure if I would recommend Roto Rooter and probably won't use them again. more

I had a clogged drain and on a Sunday morning I called Roto-Rooters of Pittsburgh and they said they would send a Plumber between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM. The plumber was at my door at 8:18. How cool is that. I was very pleased with his service , and his name was Bill , # 268. I'm not sure Im permitted to give his full name but his intials are B. S. but his job performance was A.O.K. I recommend the Murrysville Roto-Rooter to anyone who has a plumbing problem, they are prompt, polite and professional. more

I needed a plumber in the Pittsburgh area and I called Roto-Rooter. My plumber is Bill and I highly recommend him. He knew exactly what the problem was and fixed it in an hour or so. Will definitely call back next time. more

I walked into my laundry room and saw (eeeek!!) water dripping from several overhead pipes. I got the bucket brigade together and called Roto-Rooter. I spoke to customer service and was told that a technician would arrive between 8:00am and 10:00. And he did! His name was Bill and I believe his number is 268. Several things impressed me about Bill. He spoke very professionally but with kindness and concern to a customer on the phone when he did not know I was within earshot. Then he diagnosed my problem ( a new seal needed on a toilet) quickly and accurately, saving me from all my imaginations regarding plumbing purgatory or absolute doom. It is helpful to know that I can make an appointment and Bill will be the technician. I didn't have time to make any price comparisons so I hope the price was in the ballpark with other companies. But I do know that Bill beat most of the other technicians I have dealt with. more

We woke to a flooded kitchen on Mothers Day and was expecting company for a cook out at Noon. We called Roto Rooters and they were quick to arrive. The first plumber could not fix the problem, and he sent another plumber that ran the eel and unclogged the drain. Advertised $99 but it ended up costing $257.00. Expensive I thought but he was professional and got the job done with 15 minutes to spare! more
