Fleeced by Roto-Rooter! 1/22/2012

Roto-Rooter was able to fix my slow kitchen drain, but at TRIPLE the cost estimated by their competiors. I figured the plumber found some unusual problem because the price was so high. Then he told me it would take 2 hours, maybe 3 to fix. Surprise! It was done and he was gone 20 minutes later. What a ridiculous price! Also, he marked my receipt with the commercial guararentee (30 days) instead of residential (6 months). I was very disappointed, and will never call Roto-Rooter again, nor would I recommend them. Look elsewhere. more

Clogged sink drain 11/10/2011

Arrived an hour after calling for service. Cleared clogged drain with no problem. Roto-Rooter charges flat rate, so I ended up paying $330 for an hour's worth of work (less $30 phone book coupon). Next time I'll try my luck with an hourly rate. more

Excellent Service, The Plumbers were very Courteous, they also provided some preventivie maintenance tips. Garabage Dispoal was shot, needed new one. I will more than likely used in the future. Quick to respond. The only negative is that the disposal was up marked considerably. \r more

I had water leaking from my sewer stack in a plumbing chase in my finished basement. I called before hours, had a plumber at my house within an hour and was fixed before dinner. The staff was helpful and courteous, explained thier plan of attack, discussed the cost and even described what might increase the cost. Turned out, the supervisor was right about the problem with his first estimate and so I did not end up paying more! Pros: Professional and wide ranging skills Cons: Not free more
