They came out the next day and did a great job on the service. The technician replaced a capacator. It was a 35 + 5 MFD, 440 VAC 50/60 HZ $25.00 part and they charged me $140.0...

I Have Used Roscoe Brown Since 1999 6/17/2010

These guys have always been punctual and take care of business. I admit they need to get a better dispatch as of the last 2 years. But Mr. Brown has always resolved and fixed anything and has been completely fair in pricing. Trustworthiness is key and I would continue to use them because of this fairness, or rather Norman Brown's fairness. He does care! When I install a new unit (I will buy scratch/dent), it will be THEM I would trust to install it right. more

I have older house with an older unit that I wanted to have looked at. Roscoe Brown had someone come and check it out for me. They let me know that the unit probably wouldn't make it very long. When it was no longer working I called them back to see if they could replace it. They had already given me a quote, and I negotiated everything with Tommy over the phone. It was already getting hot, so I needed the unit pretty quick. I was also going to be out of town for the week. Tommy set everything up so that I could get the service the Tuesday after I came back. They came at 8:05 and left that afternoon. All of the guys worked non stop to finish it. They were clean and quiet. The whole experience was great. more

New Customer Experience 4/22/2010

I called to have a HVAC tune-up for Friday April 19th at 4:00PM. Gave my address and contact phone number to the person at the brance office (I assume) in Murfreesboro. The support staff seemed pleasant enough but the proficiency in scheduling my appointment lacked severely. \r I arrived home at 3:50 and waited for the tech to call me, I had my cell phone with me (which is the contact number I gave them) but didn't receive a call. I started and finished a chore which took about 50 minutes while checking my home and cell phone for the call. Finally at 4:50 I called the Roscoe Brown office and asked where was the technician since my appointment was for 4:00, I was told that the technician tried calling me twice between 4 and 4:15 but got no answer. The person on the line read back the phone number and it was wrong, which explained why no call. I was then asked if I still wanted the tech to come out or reschedule, this was around 4:55 and I said yes I do want the tech to come. They stated the tech would come but was on another call and would be within an hour, I said that's fine. I received some call on my cell phone after asking them to have the tech call my home number, I received a call on my cell but missed the call by a few seconds. I called the number back and it was an automated Roscoe Brown emergence service number. I was frustrated at this point and said I will contact them on Monday and let them know about my displeasure. Shortly about an hour later the technician showed up, he was a pleasant young man, so he verified I was the customer by asking a few questions.\r First he read the address to me which was wrong, the address number was correct but we live on 'Drive' not 'COURT' which is why the tech took longer to get to my house also they told the tech (I overheard them from his NEXTEL) that I needed service for one unit and I clearly stated and asked for the silver service agreement because I have two units. The tech asked me about the cost for the silver (I guess to see if I was telling the truth,) and after I responded with the answers he knew the office made the mistakes.\r The tech apologized and got to work. He did a good job, I just hated it being an extra hour longer than was projected.\r After that experiece I choice to pay for the tuneup service and not the silver agreement because now I will have to give serious consideration to dealing with Roscoe Brown again. We are very satisfied with the service we have received from Roscoe Brown. Our relationship with Roscoe Brown goes back to the man who founded the company in his backyard. We have watched the company grow to what it is now and they have done a good job of carrying on the tradition of excellent service. We had them do a job recently where they were able to catch a mistake themselves, and they came right back and fixed it. They are professional and considerate. more

I went to Roscoe Brown to get a proposal, and I got one from some other companies as well. I thought their proposal was the best, I hired them to install a unit and everything went well. They were very efficient and business-like. I had no problems at all. They did the proposal quickly and on time. They got installation done quickly and on time. I have used Roscoe Brown many times for maintenance work on my unit. They have always been very prompt and I have been very happy with their company and service. They have gone the extra mile for me. In one instance, my unit, which was installed by the previous owners of my house, needed a new part. Roscoe Brown called the electric company to find out when the unit had been installed and found out that it was still under warranty, which saved me quite a bit of money. Most recently, the Freon was down and Roscoe Brown came out to see if there was a leak. They did not find a leak but they took care of the problem. more

Roscoe Brown has provided us with excellent service for at least 4 years now. They are very knowledgeable about the unit itself and about servicing it. Also, they do not high-pressure you into buying other things. We initially bought a unit from them that they installed for us. Everything has worked out well: The product is high-quality and Roscoe Brown is very dependable and prompt in terms of scheduled appointments. When we had a problem once, they took care of it. Also, they will recommend any changes that they see you need. For example, when we had our unit serviced recently, we had a screen over the unit that they recommended we remove once the leaves stop falling. Roscoe Brown was able to provide the product that I was looking for in a timely way, when another company I called could not get it from the same place in that time frame. I also knew that Roscoe Brown had a good reputation on the Better Business Bureau. They were responsive on the phone and the people that they sent to perform the service were qualified, knowledgeable, and polite, from the person who did the initial evaluation to the installers. I started using Roscoe Brown a year and a half ago because I was not satisfied with the other local companies that I had tried. I had one problem that I could not get fixed and, when I called Roscoe Brown, they came and were able to fix it. In addition to the general service work that they have done, they also installed a new unit for me recently. I had a few questions during the installation and they were very cooperative in answering my questions. Everything turned out better than I expected because they replaced things on their own accord, such as an old-fashioned fuse box that they changed out to circuit breaker. There was no extra charge for this, which I appreciated. I would recommend Roscoe Brown because of their expertise. They are a large, reliable company with well-mannered technicians. They do business the way you would want them to. more

I have been using Roscoe Brown since 1992 when I moved here. My son-in-law said that they were the best in town. I have always gotten good service from them. They installed a new heating/cooling unit for me and the air conditioning works well. I have not used the heat yet. They are always here when they say they are going to be here and they seem to know what they are doing. I am a retired industrial engineer and I can tell that their technicians are well-trained. Another thing that I like about Roscoe Brown is that they do not try to talk you into doing work that does not need to be done. When I was having problems with my old unit, they came out to look at it and found a hole in the coil. The compressor was going to be the next to go. They were straightforward in telling me what repair work would need to be done and how much it would cost. I decided to put in a new unit instead. I have already recommended Roscoe Brown to 3 or 4 people, including my next-door-neighbor. I will definitely continue to use them -- they have been good to me. more

We built a new home about 4 years ago and were dissatisfied with the air unit that was in there, so we contacted Roscoe Brown. I had seen their advertisements on television and people were telling us good things about their service. The people at Roscoe Brown were open, honest and upfront. They gave us a fair price on the Infinity system, which we have been very pleased with. We have not had any problems with it. The system is excellent -- it pays for itself. We use Roscoe Brown about 2 times a year now to maintain the unit. They are always on time, provide great service, and go out of their way for you. Fred Johns more

This company has shown us nothing but professional, friendly and knowledgable service. When we had repeated problems that no one else could find the owner came out himself to make sure that we would be satisfied. That impressed us.
